My favorite way to beat the BMW M3 GTR final boss is to buy a mustang, download a mod that adds Razor's mustang vynil, and proceed to make an exact replica of his mustang that he used against you in the tutorial. Fully upgrade it, add junkman if you want but not required, and obliterate Razor in every race. It's like a display of dominance, beating him in the number 1 spot when he himself couldn't advance past 15th place with the same car.

@@MTee-rj1yj not only that, but I dedicate almost every playthrough to this method: I beat a most wanted racer, get their pink slip, and use their car EXCLUSIVELY until I beat the next racer and so on. To flex the fact that their rides are good enough to take the next place up on the list, but the drivers suck ass.

Am I the only one who finished the game with sonny's golf. I stuck to the theme and kept adding custom secret parts right till the end. It's faster than the GTR

The punto is a deceivingly decent car. The cobalt on paper looks mediocre but the cobalt is actually a really good car. No top 3 or anything but definitely 4th to 10th

Exactly, if we talk mainly about race performance the cobalt and punto are definetly between top 15 and 8 at least the punto especially is amazingly fast thats why a lot of ai opponents rubberband so hard with it, now in terms of overall cars the punto is out of discussion being the most awfull in pursuits (no pushing power, not enough weight)

Facts
You're entitled to your own opinion, but I've done my fair share of time trials on different tracks, and fully tuned with all junkman parts the IS 300 is by a considerable margin the worst car of the four starter cars. Driving on the NFS World Loop multiple times, the Punto was actually the fastest of the lot with a 5:23 time while the Golf did a 5:25, the Cobalt SS a 5:27 and the IS 300 a measly 5:38. The fully upgraded Punto is one of the fastest cars in the game in regular tracks.
That’s fair man, I didn’t put as much time as you obviously so I’m sorry if some things are incorrect. I just enjoy the game and wanted to rank the cars haha

Compare in Car Shape and Handling Curve, Speed Curve with Ultimate Settings, no junkman
Cobalt SS > IS300
Golf > Fiat
Golf may better than Cobalt SS on handling but I think Cobalt SS more amazing perform cause it's bigger car.

Don't hate on the Punto
I actually am doing a Punto playthrough
Currently at Blacklist 5. This with exclusively using the Puno
And also the Cobalt. That was always my favorite starter other than the Punto
I prefer the mustang over all the other light weight sport cars. If you mess up a sharp turn and hand brake aggresively with slow motion, the mustang is never gonna flip over and will rarely spin out of control, because of its weight. definitely my favourite mid game tier car
Cobalt actually quite good, I'm pushing it to beat blacklist number 14

*Fun Fact:* It's completely possible to reach Ming (#6) and his Lambo _with just the Cobalt SS._ Although it will be an incredibly tough feat to accomplish.
Upgrade your ride, sell whatever successful "Pink Slips" you have, _and pray to the racing gods that you'll get that Lambo._ THAT will carry you all the way to the end.

I beat the game with the Cobalt. If you put enough junkman parts into it, not even rubberbanding opponents can catch you.
You can take every car to the top, one of the things I love about this game so much. Cobalt SS is very underrated.
Playing through the game again and only used the is300 and it’s performed amazingly, beat everything no worries and I’m upto blacklist #2. watching this video to get an idea of what to buy because I have a heap of money to spend
Thing is marcedies always has bad handling and acceleration. But very good high speed.

Actually Cobalt might be a better starting car than IS300 just because you get IS300 for free from Taz (If you're lucky of course but still)

Actually, the 911 GTR 2 is the one you get for completing the whole challenge series, while the Corvette C6.R requires 100% completion. (Both Career and Challenge Series)
(While for SL65 AMG, you get it by just completing that last challenge.)
The Black Edition modified ones, you unlock right off the bat basically.
(I actually finished the game with my orange Bodykit 2 Ford GT as a kid.)
Not for C6.R. You just need to beat Razor and finish the last pursuit to unlock that car
The speed run King, VW Golf
Full junkman Elise is far and away the best car you can get in story mode performance wise. Hands down.
Elise It's great but against the police it's weak. anything that hits you , you lose a lot of speed compared to other cars

Porshe Carrera GT (high speed makes it easier to immobilize the cops)
Ford GT (It has the same performance as the Carrera GT but more efficient)
BMW M3 (Do I need to explain?)
Corvette C6 (This car's ability is to evade faster and performs well)
Aston Martin DB9 (This car's ability is to immobilize the cops more easily, but the weak point is the police barriers)
worst cars against cops
Elise (very fragile, any hit loses a lot of speed)
Supra (ability of this car is to have the.. "pursuit lenght" , In other words, the police show up all the time and make it difficult for you to evade)
GTO (simply the slowest car in the game)

@@igorperez9867 Add the: Murciélago, Gallardo, Porsche 911 Turbo, Viper ,SLR, Golf, Evo, Impreza and SL 500, CLK 500, Lexus and Mustang as the best vehicles against cops as well.
As for the worst: RX-8, RX-7, Punto and Cobalt SS

weird... first time i used CTS i was surprised by how GOOD the handling is
not only that but its also a heavy car so it can crush the cops easily, unlike the lotus elise for ex whos just too light for that

I dont like supra but honestly it's best mid game car in the entire game its just too good
i beat the whole game with only the Cobalt SS its a great car decent for police chases and its one of the best cars fully upgraded (The IS300 is still better tho but underrated aswell)

Im boutta clear the game wit a supra n an rx7, the supra is actually really good and fast when ya start upgrading it.
Lol I actually like the Cobalt I got it up to beating Vic then I won his Supra which is my go to now but I still use the cobalt for Pursuits
I have the Porche Cayman S I defeated Blacklist 6 with it and got his Lamborghini. It had slightly better overall stats and most of all the ultimate upgrades on it. Should I use Cayman or Lambo? I have like 90k cash still sitting so I can max upgrade Cayman S too.
This is actually my first time playing the game and I like cars but I'm not a " car guy" as my friends say. This tier list ranks Lamborghini Gallarodjabwj whatever lower than Cayman so I'm confused.
Go with ming's Gallardo put junkman parts into it and it will take you to blacklist 1 handily the only cars that will give you competition especially in speedtraps are aston martin & carrera gt.
I don't buy cars, just use the pink slip car to complete the race and beat the blacklist.

Having played most wanted on ps2 and gamecube/wii, i have to say the lotus elise, imho, is not as good as you say. Its small and very much nimble, but the transmission felt trashy to me. My crappy cobalt (lol) drove and accelerated smoother in comparison.
Also, the monaro is more appealing to me visually, but given im american, i chose the gto in storymode. Cant complain about either as they handle surprisingly well for being a heavy car. Just my $0.02. :)

Performance and overall wise the best cars in the game are the Gallardo, Corvette C6, Viper, Lancer EVO, Cayman and ofc the M3 u get in the state u get it after beating razor. In carbon for example, the best purely falls to the Corvette and the Lancer… all the others are just much worse.
Edit: fun fact. The 911 turbo has the best acceleration with max tuning and fine tune from 0-100. If u perfect start with it… u instantly leave everyone behind u
Carrera GT and Ford GT .... Are they a joke to you? About the car having the best acceleration you are wrong. Mustang GT does 0-100 in 1 second and that doesn't mean it's a very good car. porshe 911 carrera S, 911 turbo look good but if you compare its race time with the Caymam for example, you will see that the Cayman is the best Porshe, second only to the Carrera GT which is currently the best car in the game, without a doubt
@@igorperez9867Carrera is okay but not worth the price, the ones I mentioned beat it all around, for the Ford GT... its ugly and its too stiff... very bad in cornering and sharp turns.

Like the Gallardo and the Corvette is amazing in every term, great acceleration, good top speed, amizing turning and cornering... what else do you need? I won't even talk about how much of an overkill is the Elise, with which u can even take hairpins with 250km/h + ez.
Renault Clio V6 is the car with the best handling in the game along with the Lotus Elise

I've Tested those cars extensively and nothing i mean NOTHING even Carrera gt doesnt outperform Ford GT
Actually the slr mclaren is the most expensive car in the game at $300,000 while the carrera gt is $280,000 not that it really matters they’re both very expensive and it’s only a 20k difference

I honestly dont like the carrera gt it feels bad imo the gallardo handles way bettrler accelerates faster and has a haigher speed in my experience it also turns better nd what not so its way better over all and i love it but the ford gt i love over the carrera because the body kits look awesome and ive noticed that it seems to help a little bit with the collision physics against the cop cars so you can sorta send them over your car without trouble and keep driving almost as if you hit nothing it handles like a beast my only iff is the acceleration is a little slower imo than that of the gallardo but yeah over all i love the cars in this game

GTO, Monaro I feel they are disappoint cars not fast and not good handling. Calliac may better than them.
SL500 Surprise Top Speed is very fast Car. Just need Expert Player to handle.

RX8 Yes it's quite bad. Many people like its accellation sound but handling on curve is pretty bad one.
