Agreed, but it is difficult to imagine the voters discounting what happened on Monday night. There are two games left for everyone so let's see how it plays out. Lamar may have a bad game and Purdy may ball out like he usually does. The MVP race seems to be a week by week thing.

Brad, you are becoming the official aggregator of 49ers content pearls from around the world. Thank you.
While I knew that Brock is an amazing quarterback, understood several new dimensions from this interview with Greg Cossell. The world talks about Lamar as the de facto MVP after the last game, when he was setup with short field positions by his defense. If anyone deserves credit on that team, it is their defense, not Lamar. He is a great player, but doesn't have the MVP numbers this year.
On the other hand, Brock had been a consistent performer. Demolished pretty much all of the top NFC teams. And all the talk about him being the 4th or 5th valuable player in his team is trash. When he had a bad game we lost. How can a 4th or 5th valuable player having a bad game impacts the results so much? He should put up his usual performances in the next 2 games and we'll see.

I totally agree with this guy. I thought I was the only person who felt the same way. The media controls the narrative, and their narrative is love a QB when they’re good, kick em when they have a bad game. And the average football viewer who doesn’t really know the game, they go along with it. Greg is absolutely correct in my opinion. And I heard what Warner said and I love what he said too. I think it’s safe to say that if you were to look back at the great QBs over the last 25 to 30 years, you’ll see that all good QBs make bad throws. Some end up intercepted….and some completed. When they’re intercepted people say that the qb is no good. But if they’re completed then people praise them to no end. Purdy has done so well. He hasn’t had a game like this yet. It won’t be his last. Brady had seasons with 4 interception games, Kurt Warner, Peyton Manning too. He had a game with 6 interceptions. It happens. There’s a reason we are all sitting on our couches or wherever as a viewer, fan, lover of the game, and the guys that are on TV are playing the game…..cause they’re good, great, phenomenal. That’s why they’re pros. Love football. Love the Niners. I believe in Purdy and this team. If you wana be a hater, and have nothing nice to say, say nothing….or join Paraons podcast I guess?

When he's perfect, he's not the reason they're winning - the supporting cast are or Kyle Shanahan's plays are. But when he has one bad game, suddenly it's all his fault and he gets knocked off the MVP talks. 🙄

Totally agree with you. But, I get that Lamar replaced him in the #1 spot for MVP. This year seems like the MVP thing is week by week depending on who won the biggest game in the moment. It could be Tua next week if Miami beats the Ravens. Its kind of a beauty contest this year. Very weird!

I have faith he will learn what he can and keep working. We all know this game was possible but it came at a time he had shown what he’s capable of. I’m kinda relieved this finally happened and we all survived it. Let’s see how this young man responds.

Brock and Niners had more passing yards, more Rushing yards and higher average yards per play. Brock and Niners will beat Ravens in SB. Niners had over 100 yards penalties and balls that could have hit Ravens first and bounced into Niners hands just like the pass i seen Flaco do 5 minuets ago.. against Jets. Annoucer Joe threw that perfect. Brock is a better passer than Lamar.

Purdy came off the bench against Miami last season and killed the Dolphins. Then Bradys Bucs..and didnt lose til week 6 this season. Its funny how people blame Purdy, but forget the Ravens defense allowed the least points all season. In Chase Daniels analysis, he pointed out, with the first IT, that had Kittle’s route been to the end zone the safety would have had to honour that and Deebo would have had an easy touchdown.
Sometimes, it’s a bad play call, not the QB. That said I think he led Deebo a bit too much. If unsure you need to throw closer to the body and maybe down a bit. But, to me, the bigger flaw in that play was Kittle’s route. Not dissing Kittle, it might have been the play call.
