I remember Mogg lying out on the benches like he owned the place. Good riddance
He'll have to find somewhere else to lie down, park bench perhaps!
@cathygarlick9321 An individual who in all probability will never have to worry about how much credit he has left in his electricity or gas meter.
Indeed ! Mogg the epitome of an idle lacklustre politician !!
No a country house, they've all done very well out of our disaster.
@@MARKSTRINGFELLOW1 yes, what an arse.
Rees-Mogg, Truss, Coffey, Fabricant, Gullis. The British people have certainly thrown out plenty of trash this time.
Sadly, Lee Anderthal is still there. Still, I can't be greedy!
@@ftumschk Just think of all the comedic moments he will provide making a fool of himself
Did the speaker win his seat? Even if he did, will Labour give him the boot?
Unfortunately Count Binface was unable to defeat Rishi Sunak.
All for landfill, not recycling.
The thought of Jacob being Rees-Mugged by the electorate is beyond wonderful...
Where do I sign the petition to block Mogg from getting a peerage?
Better yet, where do we sign the petition to block new appointments to the HoL?
MANY OF US would like him exiled
"Oh Nanny, those dreadful plebs have rather kicked me out".
It couldn't have happened to a more odious man. His face when the results were declared was priceless. "How dare you kick me out. I'm entitled to this seat."
I can’t believe he didn’t thank Nanny!
🤣
Comment of the election
Why would you thank a servant? Just give the hoi polli ideas above their station.
He probably had nanny flogged!
No breast milk for him tonight! How dare he forget!
“He’s like a shiver waiting for a spine.” -Paul Keating, Former Australian Prime Minister.
Wow that's a good one never heard that one before
Paul was a bit before my time I was in my early teens
Cheers from Adelaide

He's stolen more than he'll ever be able to spend. Of course hes happy to go.
That was quite gracious of Mr. Rees-Mogg. It's odd how he can come across as almost likeable at times, while simultaneously being so toxic.
🤣😜 I thought so too.
That's not such an unusual combination.
Well he's a politician, so it's in his skillset
Certainly more grace than Liz Truss, who walked off stage without giving any congratulations or concession speech.
Rees-Mogg took his defeat well. I suppose ceremony and pomp is his element so he's always liable to show up better in those situations than others where he has to appear more.....what's the word?......relatable? Still, it would be disingenuous not to at least credit him with that. He took it far better than Truss, for example. And fellow MPs do actually speak quite highly of him in some aspects. I'm no fan of him, his supercilious mannerisms, his politics, his party or any of that but it'd be churlish not to recognise that.
Nonetheless - remember his sophistry for Johnson's government.
I think that a very large portion of voters in the UK are glad to see the back of this smug, incompetent excuse for an MP.
One of the best results ever and IMO I never what to see JRM ever again in any position of political power. I don;t like the man and I don't like his politics. Great night for democracy.
Great speech from the LABOUR MP. Cheers
Nanny will make it better with some warm milk .
Or his wet nurse!
Bitty 😂
@@davidgerrard8661 🤣🤣🤮🤣
The man juice media in Australia discribed as a haunted Dickensian lamppost 😂 . Morning Tim . . End of an era .
Let us just take a moment to reflect quietly on Mr Jacob Rees-Mogg's constituents telling him roundly and soundly to, erm, erg, go to Hell.
15 k still voted for Jacob Rees Nob. People that still vote for what my country can do for ME. Rather than what can I do for my country.
@@henryjohnfacey8213 indeed.
He has been my MP and the joy of him being ejected is almost sexual in its pleasure. But as you say, 15k voted for him despite everything he has done and said. Worse still, some of those supporters are friends and people I care about, respect and even love. I find it impossible to understand why they can’t see it. Let’s hope Dan Norris and the whole Labour government live up to the mandate afforded to them.
@@Reilly1962I couldn’t care or love anyone that voted for that POS! 😡
Its worse than that they are often voting against there own interests 😢
Sadly so true, even worse they still voted in great numbers for the witch of doom. Luck she lost by 600 votes.
It restores some confidence in our nation. There is only so far abuse and corruption can go before the people act. Late but it happened.
Chitty, chitty, BYE, BYE . Good riddance ❤
That's the biggest upset Rees-Mogg had experienced since his wet nurse quit when he was 15.
Gone. Good. He can live out his Victorian fantasy without the power over people living in the 21st century!
She has brought many financial challenges to many mortgage payers without a word of apology. Gives one the true calibre of the person.
She actually said after losing that the tories lost because the public lost trust in them because they didn’t cut taxes etc., i.e. because they didn’t follow her unfunded policies
I wish someone had the guts to tell Rees-Mogg the truth about himself. This was the opportunity of a lifetime wasted.
I think he will know just how Much he is disliked.
He will probably start a blog on how the public will suffer by not having him re elected
He should be thanked for motivating so many voters with his repulsion.
Grant Schapps ...what a face .. moggy kept his composure at least
@stop-the-greed a good old fashioned example of a brass neck.
Anyone else smiling from ear to ear that he and his like are gone?
The guy moved his business to Dublin in the wake of brexit ...tells you a lot!
He will be somewhat at home in Dublin, his being a Roaming Catholic of an exclusive Right...sorry .. Rite and having a prime seat in the observance of Dubliners gathering (with great difficulty) the price of a point ..sorry Pint ..or two of Guinness. From a free and easy Galwegian on Ireland's west coast.
At least he was gracious in his defeat in congratulating the winners, unlike that of Liz Truss and others who just walked off holding their arses in their hands!
Jacob Rees Mogg is an example of the pompous and entitled attitude of this Conservative Party for the past 14 years.
The tories have been pompous entitled bunch of bastards since inception
He reminds me of the song Born to Rule from Horrible Histories
HE HAS BEEN VILE SINCE LONGER THAN 14 YEARS
It's been great. Bye Moggy.. On the bright side, Labour can fill Clacton and Skeggy with asylum seekers and blame Reform now :)
I would certainly like to purchase a Jacob Rees Mug. As a survivor of this period of political history I want one as a memento and a reminder of how silly we let ourselves become in the eyes of the rest of the world. Never again can we be Rees Mugs !
So apparently the Eighteenth Century will need to elect a new MP if they still want to be represented at Westminster. Good riddance!
The Haunted Pencil is fed into the electric sharpener, and only graphite dust and shavings came out. Straight onto the compost with them.
One of the most satisfying results of the election.
Fantastic :D
Dangerous ground for the haunted pencil, quoting from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang while looking and TBH having acted like the Childcatcher
good to see you smiling so much
To watch JR Smug lose his seat was so thrilling to watch the colour drain from his face as the results were read out and then that realisation that you've lost your seat was worthwhile to watch.
Amazing that he quoted "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang", he always reminded me of the Child catcher from that movie.
K 👍
Karl - Manly, masculinity or of man
I know a guy with the Same name 👍
Mr Mogg came on Channel 4 at around 4am suggesting that he may have squeezed a victory by a handful of votes…
Ah dear Jacob, never knowingly right, even at the end.😂😂😂
Thanks Tim.
Happy days are again!
Look up “vacuous” and Moggy’s picture will be there. I can only imagine him lying on the settee, head on nanny’s lap, sobbing about how mean everyone has been. 😂😂😂😂
Such amazing subterfuge on the part of this hypocrite
This guy thought foodbanks in the UK were a wonderful thing and that Grenfell Tower victims brought it on themselves, he never got anything right, good riddance.
GET ON WITH IT!!!!
may he never darken the house ever again.
Rees-Mogg losing his seat was less of a shock to me than the moment I realised he is almost 3 years younger than me! 🤯
My gut-reaction to Rees-Mogg is to despise him for being so entitled and smug, but having watched a short film of him as a 12 year old, obsessed with money, stocks and shares and Thatcherite policies, I actually feel some sympathy for him.
It appears that he was never allowed to be a child and as a consequence, grew up with a blinkered view of the world, lacking empathy and any concept of what life is really like for ordinary people. If only his parents had bought him a football, a fishing rod or a guitar.
His obsession with money and status may have prevented him from realising what the truly important things in life are.
Good words from the winner and the loser.
Thanks Professor - an excellent analysis of this seismic event
Thanks Professor telling the truth won out in the end, Thankyou
we need the really important news - what happened to Count Binface and Lord Buckethead
Count Binface give`s a great interview on Times Radio. funny. Need more like him.
I'm quite sure he's got more than enough money in the bank to keep him in those ghastly suits for the rest of his life.
Moggy will now have more time to add to the family.
Rescuing stray cats?
Great content Prof! Keep it up
New MP should have thanked the Returning officer, staff and police. Poor form!
Tonight JRM sleeps with the happy fishes.
Liz Truss Gone.
My face hurts from smiling so much. Anybody have any remedial suggestions?
It is gratifying, indeed, that the good folk of North Somerset no longer require the services of Jacob Rees-Mogg
Do you mean Count Binface had only 10 minutes to discover he hadn't won after all? I know how disappointed he must have been, as I was rooting for him.
When will they move his coffin with the soil of his home land in it out of the Houses of Parliament?
Does he retain his Royal Child Catcher stipend?
SOLD OUT TO THE ESTABLISHMENT!
I would love to have seen Tory MPs' immediate reactions to losing their seats, like being voted out on the X Factor 😂😂😂
Seeing JRM defeated has got to be the highlite of my week if not month.
There used to be a Rowland Emett flying machine on display in the Merrion Centre in Leeds. When I was very small, I loved when we happened to be going past when they turned it on. Ephemeral is an apt description of Rees-Smug. He was very gracious in defeat, but shall not be missed
It doesn't matter how loud you scream, it's all about the cross in the right box. Well done, Labour in this seat.
This is prime entertainment!
At least he was noble enough to give a speech upon not winning, unlike Trusshyte who declined to give departing words. She just sulkily marched off!
Sleaze-Fogg is the sort of person schadenfreude was coined to describe
JRM, Liz Truss, Michael Fabricant, Michael Fabricant's syrup, Penny Mordaunt, Grant Shapps all out. A new dawn, a new day...
Hush, don't call it a syrup, he'll sue.
American politicians, please note how the candidates listen and applaud to all the results. Note also.how the winner is generous in praise of the losing Tory.
It's done with manners, courtesy and yes, a degree of affection.
He no longer qualified as a human after his grenfell comment
Im so very glad he lost. Gotta give him some grudging credit tho. Firstly for running instead of running away, like so many of the other creatures. Secondly for taking the defeat graciously.
JRM is the ashes of defeat, and his ashes can be discarded into the dustbin of history!
Moggy moggy moggy
Gone gone gone.
Sadly gone but probably not forgotten as he'll now be able to soapbox for farage even more on gb "news"
Labour MP seems well spoken should be a good MP
Rees Mogg one of the most pompous men in politics. A gracious speech but does not overcome his irritating personality. Thank goodness he has gone.
If only an ounce of the humility he shows in defeat had been shown by him and his trounced former government...
13+ minutes for Liz Truss
Should MP's have agents? Times are truly crazy in British politics.
The abiding memory I have of Rees-Mogg is him hiding behind one of his children when leaving HOC after a Saturday sitting in the full knowledge that competing demonstrations were going to take place.
Adieu, arriviste and Westminster hypocrite extraordinaire.
What a humble acceptance speech by the Labour candidate.
So glad he's gone.
The biggest Portillo moment has to be, the former PM Liz Truss, losing her seat, then, very ungratiously, refusing to give a concession speech. The announcement of the result was delayed, because she could not be found, and when offered the chance to make a speech, she shook her head and promptly left the stage.
Another feature of this election has been Sky falling all over themselves to point out that Labour have won a huge majority, but with the lowest share of the vote of any winning party, and conveniently ignoring the fact that this election is the first election in history to have 4 major parties in contention for every seat in England, instead of the traditional 2 or 3, as Reform, who have done very well, did not exist until 2021.
That. Is. A. Disgrace.
At least JRM had the decency and respect to accept his defeat with grace.
Still a POS though 😉
But the result still reflected the 3 party system with Reform only achieving
'Green' status
Reform 😂😂😂😂😂
@@stephenchappell7512NO
Reflected FPTP. Which is really 'winner takes all.
@@davefave4351you hold it against her she did not want to speech?
You can't do right for folk.
Paisley junior has lost his seat , his family held that area for the 54 years
Replaced by an even bigger melt though
Yeah ,wee Jim's insane
Reese Mogg was relatively gracious in his concession speech. I am sure he will be well looked after by his fellow rich friends in the city. However, his fellow Tory party colleague, the abomination that is Liz Truss, was not gracious enough to give a concession speech. Hopefully we will not see either of them again in mainstream politics, but I have a nagging feeling that the horror that is Liz Truss will try and remain relevant and attempt a comeback.
Trying to phone nanny but getting NO answer. lol.
Gold!
One always has to wonder at these "politicians" who fail to get in on several attempts - but at least he's got rid of now - hopefully the last we will ever see of the ruddy Rees-Moggs - his dad was a pain in the butt back in Majors' day too!
To be fair - the gracious thanking and recognition of his team for helping him in the constituency was quite dignified and very respectful.
He can go back to Nanny-land where I think he is actually much more secure!
Iam sure his nanny will get him a copy of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang .
There is Jacob Rees-Mogg grinning as if he had won.
I JRM was magnanimous in defeat as was Grant Shapps as was the PM good day for democracy 😊
hahahahahaha and thank you from Dublin for the billions in funds that mogg transferred to Dublin due brexit 🤑
Mr. Fogg down and out.... Ah, revenge is a dish best served cold.
He forgot to thank his maid though.
Good to see another Rowland Emett fan! I've got two of his whimsical railway books - 'The Early Morning Milk Train' and 'Sidings and Suchlike' - a beautiful fantasy world which mirrors some of my dreams! Meanwhile I trust that, like refugees sent by air to Rwanda, Mr Rees-Mogg will find himself bundled into a Tardis and sent on a one-way trip back to the year 1911! But a gracious and dignified resignation speech it has to be said. He's always been known for good manners. Unlike some of the Reform party!
Both men did it with class...
Liz Truss looked like reality had just happened in her head, for the first time since she was born
I never knew they know the result before its announced!!!! outrageous
Now he can follow his refugee Hedge Fund to Dublin where, just like a true Brexit believer, he relocated his British company ( sacking some of the British staff in the process) so he could keep doing business and making money in the EU without having to re-register everything.
