Hi. I love you. So HUMBLE. You are such a lovely Lady. Gosh! That is a great and an important tip for needle gauge. I have to compare my knitpro karbonz with Aldi knitting needles. I feel so sad that you ran short of yarn. Annoying😡. You are a genius and I know you'll be able to knit the entire sweater or perhaps you have already finished your cardigan. Just imagine ripping the entire sweater because of two needles. Thanks for sharing caring and making me smile. A big hug from France 👍👍👍💕💕💕💕💕🥰🥰🥰💐💐💐💐

Thank you! I didn’t know how how to use the gauge properly ie if the needle should go through quite tight or loosely.

Thank You, Very informative especial when you get halfway through the vidio. Interesting that the size may be off and I will buy a gauge just to be sure.

So I have some bamboo/wood knitting needles that are labeled as a 10mm.They move pretty loosely through the 10 mm hole on my gauge. Enough so, that I decided to test them in the 9 mm hole and they fit tight to the widest part of the needle. I can't slide it in and out, even with a great deal of force, but it definitely rests directly against the edge of the actual body of the needle. In your opinion, should I treat these as 10 mm or 9 mm needles?

Managed the sleeve out of what i had left of the 2nd ball with a tiny amount left over, so got exactly the same amount to do the other sleeve and the front, going to use my other 4mm needles to do the front might save a little wool enough to do the neckband, the front takes slightly less wool than the back, think i'm saved from screaming 😂🤣

I wasn’t sure if you measured it by tip or the whole needle passing through 😊

Hi Shiela came across you video whilst wrestling with the same sizing problem of knitting needles.
I am knitting an Aran jumper and had to check the needle sizes and even go down a size on the pattern to
    Get the size I wanted
I will make a conscious effort to check all my needles before I start a new project.
    Love the video.

Mmm my theory is if it goes through it needs to go back a hole to get the right size

I’ve just come across this as i was unsure as to whether I was using it right… so, it’s meant to be a snug fit but still be able to move back and forth? Can anyone confirm if I’ve got it right? ☺️
