What I was missing in your video is to mention the disadvantages of using code snippets: if you don't know a lot a bout coding and get in trouble with later updates of PHP or WP you are totally lost. But if you use the same functionallity form a plugin you generally will get an update soon or later.

What I do miss in the informative video is the lack of security information: are the sites that provide snippets trushworthy/save? How do we know and what sites are save to install snippets from? Why wouldn't you ONLY run the convert to WebP in the administration area? If you add it sitewide you are pushing that code through the front facing part of the website. Is the conversion done on upload with your code or in realtime on the front end? Same goes for infinite scroll and any snippets that only need to run in the admin area
Can the Newspaper theme function correctly with the Code Snippets so that when I upload an image to WordPress, it displays correctly on all devices without creating duplicates of the same image? I have unchecked the boxes 'Crop thumbnail to exact dimensions (normally thumbnails are proportional)' and 'Organize my uploads into month- and year-based folders' and set the dimensions for thumbnail, medium size, and large size to 0
