Amsa translating for Miya was so nice to see. This whole event felt refreshing. Sure we have Melee and Ultimate at most events but it's always so segregated. I love how Rivals is bringing together so many communities like this. Just enjoy the games you enjoy and don't be a hater.

Probably Steve between the two, like both are horrible, but Steve can be much more oppressive in terms of not being able to challenge him and having to be careful of everything. It's hard for Wario to prevent Steve from mining without being punished and facing diamond tools and minecart with no limits isn't any easier. ^ opinion of someone who is far from an expert but took this as a general take away from the Wario Steve and Wario GnW sets he watched.
@@Wz-132-1-masterit's heavily in GnW's favor, Wario struggles vs characters who can break out of his untrue combos and frame 3 upB is clearly that (a bit like luigi cyclone) also Wario wants to live long to get wafts and GnW has crazy damage and crazy kill power so it's really not possible to get several full wafts. Finally Wario thrives offstage and he can gimp a lot of recoveries but GnW upB is so good you can't gimp him you have to settle on ledge traps which is more a Fox thing for example but Wario isn't so good at this. Even bike can be reflected, GnW has the tools to 3 stock Wario if he plays well when Wario can only hope for outspacing GnW or predicting him mashing.

@@Wz-132-1-mastermatch up is horrible for Wario, you have a super hard time getting in and GnW has a good time juggling you and isn't bad at edge guarding Wario at all, even when he has bike (especially if he isn't doing a low recovery) which certainly can't be said from most of the cast. Gluto makes it look doable but it's pretty much Gluto playing out of his mind to face the bad match up (and training the match up a ton) . Not to take credit away from Maister or Miya who play fantastic and deserve their top stop, but this is not the GnW purely out playing Gluto to end up with such a record against them. It's him doing his best to close the gap.

Even when he is doing top player things, it doesn’t look like he’s good, it just looks like he’s abusing GnW. I think thats why people respond that way.

I can see now from looking at the matches Miyas bracket luck has been very good even last tournament there were a lot of matches that went his way before meeting spargo at don’t touch the grass.
Rivals is the name of the event because rivals of aether was the main game played. Tournaments are double elemination gluto was in losers while miya is in winners. So gluto first win just reset the bracket. Then miya won

They don't even consider how well Miya is playing. Because between Upb which is a perfect anti-air and a safe answer to all kind of approach from Wario, putting him instantly in disadvantage in the air where he can be juggled for a while witout a secure way to make it back to stage, NeutralB making it impossible to make it back from ledge without being hit and letting GnW the opportunity to swing first, ridiculously low endlag making him able to spam moves and narrowing so much the window to approach, coupled with great air speed, and better, bigger hitboxes on his moves so that wario loses every trade... this matchup sounds just god awful for Wario, regardless of who's the GnW he's playing against.

To make a balanced game you gotta make everyone annoying or strong in different ways, and only that character's players are gonna like it. Same problem with league of legends, sure the characters are "balanced", but they're so annoyingly strong in obnoxious ways to make them worth picking that it sucks to play against almost everybody on the roster. That's what I think about it anyway.

Half or more of the characters in ultimate are lame ngl lol so it's what they were going for I guess. To make a balanced game you gotta make everyone annoying or strong in different ways, and only that character's players are gonna like it. Same problem with league of legends, sure the characters are "balanced", but they're so annoyingly strong in obnoxious ways to make them worth picking that it sucks to play against almost everybody on the roster. That's what I think about it anyway.
