This covers some planning of component layout, fuselage build, flight controller software initial setup and motor /ESC checking.

I'm working on mine. Thanks for sharing on build. Cheers 🥂 👈
Good luck! It's such a good stable wing. Are you building for speed or range?
Similar to yours. When I came across your video it might give me some pointers on the build . Mostly fpv range. 😎
On 4S 2800mAh Li-Ion pack I get 20-25mins flight times. :)
I bet a couple of clothes pegs would’ve done quite well at the back for clamping it down
Yes, though I think the pegs may mark up the surface with dents
Great video Caroline, very in-depth information. Will have to look out for that glue as well. 👍🏻
Thanks! I'm just scared that I will completely bore everyone :D
nicely done good pace showing some brilliant knowledge
Thank you. I sped up stuff as much as possible, but I fear these long form build videos will not be popular!!! :)
@@Caroline_Tyler 100% watched and cant be worse than mine lol
On there website it's says to shim the motor to the left 2° so hope that helps
Thanks! I found the full manual online and yes they have the recommended shim position in it :)
That’s an awesome video Caroline! I skim watched… it’s all a bit beyond me! You are very talented 👏. I hope you have fun flying it 😊. ps I uploaded my first Avata flight yesterday!
Hi Jaq, I'm just videoing the next part which should pretty much complete the wing.
Then comes the maiden....of course that depends on the weather.
I saw your video, so much laughter from you, I was grinning along with you. :D
@@Caroline_Tyler hehe 🤣🤣. Yep we had fun! Look forward to seeing your Wing completed and in the air!!
I hope you don't mind the LDO shout out
Of course not!!! It was lovely :)
Hey Caroline, I liked the multi-camera setup. I've not seen that glue before, I'll have to look out for it. I've always used UHU Por on foam-to-foam and epoxy on anything I wanted to glue to the foam. One question I had whilst watching was about the XT60 on the ESC. Are you going to remove that and attached the power wires to the FC... in which case I was wondering why you didn't do this before gluing it all together? I'm looking forward to pt 2 of the build and the maiden flight
HI Wayne, the XT60 I used was from testing, replaced with a lead going in the other direction when I knew what length it needed to be exactly. The E6000 is my go to glue for EPP in particular. Unlike UHU POR - it doesn't go piss-yellow and it stays flexible. It was developed for jewelers originally to stick gems to mountings. Just editing part 2 and it will include the maiden :)
