Question 2 Y’all gotta chill lol, she made it easy if you if you listen. Lowest Common Denominator (LCD) means you have to Find the lcm. That’s basically the number that’s the lowest between two or more numbers when you multiply them. So you would be finding the lcm for 4 and 2 which is 4. Because when you multiply 2 x 1 thats 2. And 2 x 2 equals 4. So the lcm is between those two denominators is 4(of the fractions). You don’t have to multiply further than that because that would be the lowest common multiple between those numbers. Then you gotta multiply it to the equation except for x+1 then you rewrite the equation the same way with new numbers and divide and simplify. On question 5 when you have to find the slope intercept you have to use that formula y = mx +b. B is always the number that’s with 0. So It would be 3. Then you use the 2nd formula and substitute and compute. Y2-y1 divide by x2 -x1 = m. 5-3=2 4-0 = 4 . You would get 2/4. Don’t forget to simplify. 2/4 = 1/2. 2 is the highest number that goes into 2 and 4 which is the gcf. Answer is A when you rewrite the equation. If that don’t make sense look up what lcd and gcf means.
It's not, it's just that the purpose of these questions are for us to be able to form algebraic formulas... if you know what I'm trying to say. I mean, with those numbers it's easier cause it's just 0s but I think the purpose is to be able to figure it out if the numbers were more difficult to multiply.
Excellent point. In this strategy I am multiplying both sides of the equation by the LCD which is 4. The approach you speak of involves transforming just one fraction into an equivalent fraction with the denominator having a desired value. The step you speak of enables the addition or subtraction of fraction. what I am doing is a step to clear out fractions which is different from what you speak of.
Could you please post a video explain the advanced algebra and function because I'm trying to find and statistics too I don't seeing any where thank you.
@@cactusjules8926 its 4, not a math guy but looking it up it seems its 4 because 2 goes into 2 and 4 and 6 but 4 can't go into a number thats lower than itself. so 4,6,12. 4 is the lowest that both numbers share.

In his first explanation, c and d, the word form of the equation, are the same. So by that logic he should have explained how to choose the best answer between c and d, n and why
No, it is D. Refer to PEMDAS. Multiplying comes before add in the case of answer C. r + (s x 5). < Not what the initial expression asking for. catch the Invisible parentheses around s and 5. he also drew them to show why c would not work. "5 times the Sum of r and s." Means add r and s first ,which need parentheses around ( r + s ) then multiply the 5 for a number that is five times the SUM of r and s. ( r + s ) x 5 Hope this helps future accuplacer takers for this test. GOOD LUCK!
The LCD for 2 and 4 is 4. You cannot multiply any number by 4 and get 2; but you can multiply 4 by 1 and get 4. You can also multiply 2 by 2 to get 4. So he is correct the LCD is 4. Although he is teaching the long way (lol) he is absolutely correct.
This is just basic alg and logic I am not sure will this help anyone. If you are struggling with this then I highly suggest you to learn basic alg first. Trust me it's not that hard and you can accomplish a lot just in few weeks
Thank you 🙏
Edit: I just took the test and I passed😀, Most of the questions were related to percent (%)
You are welcome
thank you, you're the best! I've watched so many videos and now I finally found someone that i understand!
Glad I could help!
I had all these problems for my practice test was stuck on some thank you. Bless you

Oh noo! Thats not good.

very helpful! taking my test this week! 😅
All the best
How did you do on your test ? 😊
I love it...he explained everything to the T.
Thanks
On question 2 how is the LCD 4. Question 5 where did M come from and how is the GCF 2, why is everything opposite to what makes sense?
He makes it more complicated then it needs to be thats why. He's using his own methods

If you’re a freshman to college, would you be taking the elementary math or the college math accuplacer
Well it depends on the math level you want to be placed in.
Will they both get you college credits?
Are these still similar questions? Or have they updated them?
Can you use another method to do number 2 you always use long process
Thank you so much, you save my life❤
Can this help me or prepare me for the accuplacer elementary algebra or cuny CAT assessment test thanks
Love this good Turtor
For question 3, I just multiplied 500 by 1,000
500(1,000)
=500,000
Is that wrong?
No i did the same thing. It gives the same answer
This long formulas honestly can confuse someone , 500×1000=500,000 SIMPLE

In problem 2, when finding the LCD, why did 1/4 become 4/4? I thought you had to multiply the top and bottom by the same #.

how do you know b is the y-intercept
It’s allways true because it doesn’t have the X
