Hi! There shouldn't be any problems using the 1.18.2 version unless you want to access the newest additions the mod offers, in that case, you'd want to use 1.16.5.
where do you find the vests? I cant find them. Did you install another mod along with TaC? I installed Curios and Obfuscate, but the vests dont show up.
@HundredIQGuy The newer versions of TaC appears to have removed the vests. If you wanted the vests, you'll have to downgrade the mod to version 0.3.8, but may not get access to all the newer features.

@HundredIQGuy Yea, they're great additions, but by the sounds of it, is probably best to have them removed temporarily so they can fix them up. If my version is correct and hasn't been updated, 4.1.0.0 was the build of Curios API I used. Odd that a newer version doesn't work.

Hmmm, I'm not sure. Since the ammo is crafted through a different means, I'm leaning towards the side of it potentially not working, due to how the crafting is approached compared to other crafting benches where items have specific designated spots to be placed. Feel free to try it in creative first to see though.
For anyone who wants to go easy mode u can just open the JAR file and reduce the gun weight and recoil value. Not recommended since…cmon gun mod itself is already op af in Minecraft.

The x's blocking the squares are slots that can't be fitted with attachments. Some guns have access to more slots than others, whilst some may not have any slots available. Which gun were you wanting to put attachments on?

Love the video but at what point do mods become to hyper realistic and ruin the simplistic feel of Minecraft? I remeber flans mod with the simple 2D guns back in the day and thought that was insane for Minecraft
Good question dinoguy131! There's is definitely that point where it becomes too realistic, especially in a blocky game like this. And there's nothing wrong with the simplistic approach Flans mod does. Both types of styles work better for getting different feelings for the game and they both tailor to different types of players too. For me at least, Flans for me would be great in experiencing a simpler, more casual or arcadey vibe like CS:GO and TF2 [CS:GO is a bad example to state as it's highly competitive but I'm referring to the fast paced arcade style gameplay]. Timeless and Classics on the other hand would suit better if I wanted to play Minecraft more tactically, like Rainbow Six Siege, Escape from Tarkov or Battlefield perhaps, something that works better if you wanted a more tactical or 'realistic' game experience. I'm sure everyone has different opinions on the matter and that's totally cool, again nothing wrong with the simplistic or realistic vibes, everyone has a particular style of gameplay they would rather play. Appreciate you bringing this up as this is a good discussion to talk about in games. 🙂
If you slot your weapon onto the off-hand slot, it will show up on your back [or the side if it's a pistol]. Back tools mod may also work but it may have incorrect scaling of weapons or cause clipping issues.
Materials are crafted through the vanilla crafting table. Essentially, you have to craft your way up through the material tiers to get the rarer material types you want. Uncommon being the first material tier, requires iron and wood, which is then needed to craft the rare material type, rinse and repeat from there. Using a mod like JEI or REI would help out quite a bit with crafting these items in bulk, as well as determining the crafting recipes. Hope this makes sense @andreistan7633?
Uncommon materials is made through a combination of wood and iron. I can't remember the specifics in terms of where they go on the crafting table but you can see the crafting recipe through JEI or REI.
How do you store ammo in the vests? It doesn't work for me and there is no keybind. Also how do you get your laser to have a laser? I can't see a laser.
You need to right click a vest whilst it's in your hand slot to put the ammo in. As for the laser, I just attached a laser sight modfication onto the weapon and it showed up.

Hey @lewiszinho! To be honest, I have no clue what the module item is or what it does. One thing that I think is recent with it is that it is craftable, but I have yet to find any uses for it so far, both through JEI crafting recipes or in the workbench. I'm guessing it may have to be some sort of item that's planned for a future update, someone in one of the comments mentioned they were working on revamping the weapon enchantments with a weapon upgrade workbench. Whether the modular item will be used in some form with that, I feel like it's a maybe, but it could be used for some other planned feature/s.

If it's not that, check if you have the correct ammo for your gun and that the gun is loaded. Also, check your keybinds as some controls may be conflicted if you're using other mods. it says in the 0.3.9 version that they removed the armor piece *temporarily* for adjustment

Try the configured mod then you can go to your controls to costumize all you need in your gameplay

I think it's z by default? You may have to check in your controls list to make sure there's nothing conflicting with it or check to see what the keybind is.
How do we store the ammo in the vests?

Are you using an older version of TaC? In older versions, there was a safety mode that was enabled on guns by default, which had to be toggled with the g key to change the fire mode of the gun.
If it's not that, check if you have the correct ammo for your gun and that the gun is loaded.
Also, check your keybinds as some controls may be conflicted if you're using other mods. Hopefully this helps

I believe you put them into your offhand slot for them to display on your back and hip.
