- Hi EVERYONE! Testing out the new CHANEL water fresh tint with a review demo. I apologize now for the closeup shots I share in the video. I seriously don't like seeing my face that close. But I think it's important that you see how this looks on my face in different lights and also after a few hours. Do I love it or was it a huge waste of money? For me it's worth the money. I didn't want to love this but I do. This is NOT a full coverage foundation. You will still see your imperfections. I would describe this as a tinted serum and creates a soft filter for your face. If you enjoy a more natural look you will love this. For reference I have combo skin. What I love about this is for me is that it created a filter so my flaws were softened. And as I wear this throughout the day even here with the heat and humidity in Florida it didn't look like my makeup was melting. I just blotted any oil and my skin looked great. I really think that this is a great option for us mature ladies. But again if you are looking for full coverage this is not for you. One pump is all you need to do each side of your face. Anymore and you're wasting product. Also apply it to your brush then on to your face. If you have oily skin make sure you set it with a setting powder. As a mature women I prefer a dewy look rather than a matte look. For me I find it to look more youthful.

*Hi guys! I just wanted to mention again that this is NOT a full coverage "foundation". This in my opinion is a tinted serum. You WILL see your skin. So if you have rosacea, redness, acne, whatever, this will not cover it. What this does is it creates a soft filtered look to your face with a dewy finish. I love how this wears for me throughout the day. Even with the humidity here in Florida it didn't look like my makeup was melting. Instead it looks dewy and youthful. The Chanel Water Fresh Tint is a lovely product. I have mature, dry skin which luckily does not need a full coverage foundation. This product gives me a glow and I feel confident that my skin is luminous and slightly evened out. I’m enjoying your channel and reviews; it’s nice to hear honest opinions on products from the perspective of someone closer in age to myself 😊

Great review- thanks Anne. I just purchased and love it. It’s exactly as you say. It blurs my pores and gives me a natural glow. I’m surprised that it lasts all day. A great choice on ‘no makeup’ days.

I love this finish, but what I do is put it over sunscreen and then apply another coat of sunscreen over that because it is too watery and will dilute my sunscreen otherwise. Then I do a little touch up with concealer and a physical sunblock on certain spots. This seems to work, but it is expensive.

Thanks for this review Anne! I don't wear foundation often. I don't like the feel of most foundations on my skin, but I've been looking for something to just make my skin look a little more even and blur my pores. I've been going back and forth about this based on other reviews. After watching yours, I'm going to give it a try.

This is the "water tint makeup" i meant when i asked you..just happened apon this video...now that's the kind of "foundation" i like to use...barely there😀 im outdoors in the bright sunshine and hate the makeup face...i love it on you! I mean, after you put on concealer ,blush bronzer, and setting power.. its definitely enough! Btw, for any imperfections i use NYX wonder pencils...they are a 3 shade range...and have perfect precision for covering spots and boo boo's 😁 without added extra layers of product. Great demo thank you!
I really love this foundation. If you love a dewy no makeup look you will love this! A little goes a long way. I see many using way to much of this.Oh thank you for the recommendation! I'll check that one out!😘💓

I am so glad you made a video on this product. I have the same issue with oily skin and I was concerned it would make me look like an oil slick. Now I feel more confident in purchasing. Have you also tried the blushes? Thank you.

I love this tint and it's one of my current favorites (I'm not a person who wears foundation on a daily basis so this product gives me a little "blur" and that no makeup makeup look). Had to come to you for a review! I got this a few weeks ago and I absolutely looooove it!!! I’m 51 and it just seems to blur everything and lasts all day and doesn’t seem to melt off!!

This reminds me of Bare Mineral Complexion Rescue, which is a lighter coverage but a more natural coverage. But this really is pretty! Thanks for the review!

Hi Anne. Very good video. I use the Les Beiges Skin Healthy Glow Skin Tint. It has a light coverage (more than water tint) and I'll stick to that for now

I still recommend the Sisley concealer but I've only been using the ND. I like how the ND covers and brightens. And the price is definitely better.

Fantastic, concise, a lot of closeups however, I have two questions what happens when you put another swipe or so over the foundation and have you tried the Chanell CC cream????? I have and really like it. I am 60 years young .
I did try two layers and it will cover a touch more. I haven't tried the Chanel CC cream yet😊
The Chanel website says you can use it alone, under any foundation or even to touch up your foundation throughout the day.

I wish I could try more Chanel. Their shade range is just not large enough. I can never find a shade that works for me.
Yeah I agree. They need a larger range of tones.
👍💕 Chanel actually instructs to apply to the back of your hand and swirl the brush into it to burst the bubbles. But I agree - that is super wasteful and unnecessary. The bush will burst and evenly distribute the product on your face. Of course Chanel doesn’t mind if we waste product, cause we’ll just have to buy more, sooner 😉😜
LOL that's it exactly! I think that's why they recommend it. I've heard of ladies running through this stuff in weeks! I still have mine and it's from last summer. I don't use it everyday but I do use it and it's lasted me. I'm not shelling out 65.00 every other week LOL!

I have normal skin, don’t need a lot of coverage, have very little texture. Agree this is more like a very lightly tinted serum. I am still working with it, trying it over different sunscreens, but based on my experience so far, will probably not repurchase. Underwhelmed.
I too didn't want to love this product. But with dry, sensitive, reactive and almost 60-year old skin it's now at the top of my list and I believe it looks better after an hour or two. But I live in the Pacific Northwest and we don't really deal with humidity.

You really help the viewer decide on what or what not to try! 😊 In your opinion, do you believe there is a tremendous difference between this product and a high end bb cream? Also. I ask because you showed your Chanel foundation. ;) Do you prefer the Chanel foundation or Estée Lauder Double Wear?
Hi Julia I think a BB cream may give you a bit more coverage than this does. I feel like this is a filter that creates a dewy look on the skin. I def prefer the Chanel. It's lighter on my skin because it's not full coverage. You'll get a light to med coverage with it. I don't use it daily anymore because it does contain alcohol. 🙂

Hi Nancy I haven't been using a moisturizer during the day. My skin is just too oily for that.Especially using this serum foundation.I do always use a sunscreen under my foundations :-)

I really like this look Anne, I'll have to add it to my list of things to try once I finish the one I am using which I think looks very similar (MAC Waterweight). But isn't it fun to try new things?
I love this foundation. I've been testing a few others( reviews coming soon) but nothing compares. It looks so pretty on my skin and even in the humidity my skin doesn't look gross hours later.
Just purchased this product. Viewers should know they have to use a brush to apply this. Fingers wont work breaking open the color capsules.
Yes I agree. And for me applying it to the brush and directly on my face works the best. If you apply this to the back of your hand as they suggest it's very wasteful.

Hi, currently I use Cereve PM both evening and morning. I have been testing sunscreens and I'll share reviews soon. But my current favorites are Australian Gold and Colourescience.😊

I use a serum from the skin deva. It's 20% argireline + matrixyl 3000 + hyaluronic acid serum. I'm not sure if you can get this in South Africa but maybe you can search to see if you can find something similar.This helps reduce wrinkles, and increases collagen production.It's helped with my forehead lines. I also use it near my mouth on my nasal fold and marionette lines.

Hi Jan I'm so glad you enjoyed this. I use Charlotte Tilbury's magic powder in light. But I don't think it's a mineral powder. My favorite setting powder is Charlotte Tilbury flawless filter.
I though Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter was creamy in a bottle. During the video you mention having to use your mineral powder foundation to cover a blemish. I was asking about that product.

I hate how fast this is going. I barely use any and it’s going so fast :/. And the bristles in my brush have gotten all weird from the way the product is formulated. I’ve tried washing it. I’ll have to try again. I love the way it looks, just wish it would last longer. I don’t even think it would last a month using it everyday and that’s with me using very little product. Maybe a little longer than a month, but idk. It seems to just be disappearing quickly
