Some of these bands were very successful back in the days, I'm talking about Winger (they had platinum albums and even charted in several countries outside the USA); Triumph and Honeymoon Suite (these bands had several platinum or multiplatinum albums in Canada). Even Stage Dolls was huge in Norway (where they come from). Being said that, there were a lot of underrated 80's rock bands: The Del Fuegos, 707, The Plimsouls, The Blasters, Balance, Axe, Black N' Blue, The Alarm, X, Cruzados, Hoodoo Gurus (au Aussie band), Killer Dwarfs, Mental As Anything (they were popular in Australia and UK, but unknown in the USA), Treat (a Melodic Hard Rock band from Sweden), Heavy Pettin', Lords Of The New Church, The Rainmakers, Hanoi Rocks, King Kobra, Omar & The Howlers, Treat Her Right, The Go-Betweens, Lazy Cowgirls, Samhain, Robin Lane & The Chartbusters, Mama's Boys, Duke Jupiter, The Housemartins, The Del-Lords, The Long Ryders, Green And Red, The Pandoras, Bonfire (a melodic Hard Rock band from Germany), EZO (a Japanese band), Robin Lane & The Chartbusters, Guadalcanal Diary, Lions & Ghosts, The Dogs D'Amour, Tommy Conwell & The Young Rumblers, The dB's, Insiders, Noiseworks (huge in Australia, unknown in America), Blue Rodeo, Doug & The Slugs, FM (Hard Rock band from UK), Jetboy, Junkyard, Badlands, Babylon A.D., Phantom Blue, Johnny Diesel & The Injectors (this band was huge in Australia in 1989), 1927, Zinatra (an AOR band from Netherlands), Jason & The Scorchers, Bang Tango, House Of Lords...
FM we’re also a Canadian band featuring a mummy bandaged lead singer/guitarist that had his own solo career - Nash the Slash. Their song “Phasors on Stun” is a brilliant blend of progressive rock with new wave synth and paved the way for other bands of the 80s
The number 8 Honeymoon Suite. I had that song on a mixed tape but never knew who were the band's name or the name of the song. I've got obsessed to find that info. 28 years later i hear the song again because of you. Thank you I can die peacefully now😅😅
Transvision vamp weren't forgotten . They had a lot of hits in Europe and are still played a lot today and Wendy James is still releasing music as a solo artist.
The Smithereens, Lone Justice, and The Replacements should have been WAY higher on this list... and Winger should've never made the list at all. Jason and the Scorchers belong here instead. Other than that, not a bad take for the most part.

Always nice to help someone out intentional or not to find a particular song they're looking for!🙂

I like Y&T and Til' Tuesday
About 15 good ones.
Is Kingdom Come on this noname list? No way!
I wonder if the bands have been ranked or are there just in random order.
They are mostly in random order But the ones in the top 10 are kind of ranked in my own opinion! That's why Beau Coup is at number 1 for example!
Can't even get the title right for ultravox 😂 All stood still. What a joke 😂
10,000 Maniacs??
