@Clarence Hall he didn't get fired, Tyson asked him to help as well as sugar. Ben didn't want to. Considering he previously stated he would always be there as a friend for Tyson, also out of the three fights with Tyson the one Ben gets the credit for Freddy roach doesn't.
I can appreciate Tyson Fury's thinking in selecting Sugar Hill as his head trainer, but man, I really don't think he should have dropped Ben Davison. As demonstrated here and on numerous other occasions, Ben is intelligent, articulate, mature way beyond his years and most importantly, an excellent student of technical aspects of the 'sweet science' . As a Brit, I really hope Fury wins, but in all honesty, I'm not so sure. What I AM certain about is Ben Davison will go on to have an outstanding career as a trainer.

Anyone taking the piss out of Ben should notice that the former world title holder in the ring with him, was eagerly listening to the advice ben was giving... Ben must either be good at his job, or all the pros that take him seriously must be wrong... and i don’t think they’re wrong.

I've always found Ben Davison's observational logic so on key. I think Tyson was wise to switch things up, but nobody should see that as a negative on Davison. He makes so much sense.
yes but it's much easier to say that to do...…………...all he needs to do is this and that! FURY can only fight one way he tried to change it up and nearly came unstuck against an inferior opponent! (Wallin)
Jeffery Widegirth Just look at the champion fighters listening to every word he has to say. They clearly respect his knowledge and experience already. He’s a great boxing mind that will be around coaching for a long time.
Tyson is that smart he must have learned what he needed from Ben and now is learning some more from his new trainers to give him that extra edge in the rematch. Some ppl might think he's done wrong moving on but tyson knows what he has to do to get the job done! Best of luck to him
Stepping under the jab like Ben is showing here just won't work again. It worked for 11 rounds last time because Wilder doesn't have the best boxing brain, but he figured it out eventually. After a full camp they're gonna be ready for that move from the word go.
More of this please - quality information for boxing fans. All that inside knowledge will help me enjoy the fights more as I can now look out for this stuff. Marvellous.
I think he is able to convey what he's saying in a way that is entirely understandable, which is why he will be so effective. he may not have the experience, but his ability to get his point across in an articulate way will resonate with all his future boxers
Ben has true passion for the sport which allows his deep talent in spotting patterns and understanding boxing so well, I do think it's foolish not using him for your biggest fight of the career even as a side trainer but I hope furys pure talent and heart can win the fight 🏴🇬🇧
Whose here after Fury took a proper gameplan into the ring and knocked Wilder the f out??? Davison seems to have held Fury back in the 1st fight against the advice of Freddie Roach and others who said he should press him. Ben doubted Furys ability and started from that pretext on how to nulify the "better fighter" Wilder.
His boxing knowledge is far beyond his years. Hope fury takes the best of both trainers into this and does the business Saturday night. AND THE NEW 👑👑👑
Ben has a superb ring IQ, crikey. Funny when Barry said "for Tyson to win again", accidentally revealing what everyone who knows boxing all agree on; that Tyson won the first fight, despite the dubious judging. Even Wilder knew he lost, his body language at the final bell was that of a beaten man.
Having a real boxing Mach is different to boxercise Ben Davis 😡 how do people get taken in by muppets that have never ever had a real boxing fight . It’s just taking the piss
Ben Davison has nailed it. He is a very good trainer and I can see him making a champ. No wonder Fury had so much backing and respect for him last fight
Damn Fury followed this plan perfectly. He occupied the right hand, and he tied Wilder up after combinations so he could not strike back. Kudos to Tyson, Ben, and the rest of his team.
Let’s be honest about this. Ben did an incredible job with Tyson. Phenomenal coaching and all round influence on Tyson that delivered a brilliant performance against Wilder. One day in the future they’ll work together again.
I never knew how clever ben was, he has such great boxing knowledge and hes very young, definitely a future hall of famer.. Its a shame hes not with fury this camp, would of made a real asset to fury's team imo
Ben D. Is a certified genius actually... Just so everybody knows!!! One of the best coaches in the world... Even though "some" of this wasn't rocket science
Another thing for Tyson to take advantage of would be the left hook while pulling away. Roy Jones Junior used it best. Lights out shot, plus added distance between the opponent.
@tincan tincan 1. Wilder broadcasts his jabs easy 2. Wilder would have known about Fury's power by round 4. 3. Don't mistake Fury not hitting hard for not being able to. Look at his early career. He was animal.
