    Thaaaaank you, fellow person for making this! I was attempting to rust a prop and realised it must be this type of metal as it's just not working - this tutorial is super helpful, I'll do this instead! Thank you thank you!

    If I want the second look do I need to do the first process of sanding and heating, and apply the presto stainless black, or do I have to start with the first item, to get the more rustic look before applying the second product? I want to do a 45 foot bar in my establishment but I want to be sure it’s done correctly. I love the final look!

      You can get a similar finish by heating the stainless steel and applying the Stainless Black or Presto Stainless Black and then rinsing off the excess but I like the look that the two step process gave a lot more.

    Does this reduce the metals resistance to rusting? Can you apply a clear coating of some kind to protect against weather?

    • @sculptnouveau
      @sculptnouveau  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We do suggest using a clear coat to protect against weather. Its still stainless steel, so without a clear coat it will still form that faint dusty oxide over time.

    I need to do this on a stainless counter top. Does this have any wear properties like will it easily rub off with use?

    • @sculptnouveau
      @sculptnouveau  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Put a clear coat on it to help with wear. Ever Clear or Hydro Clear would be our best clear coat for that.

    Hi, before I place an order, I would like you to confirm which product will get me the black aged patina finish. I do not want the coloured one. Please advise. Or do I need to apply two different finishes? Thanks

    • @sculptnouveau
      @sculptnouveau  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      For the blackened finish in this video, we used the Presto Stainless Black (SSB): sculptnouveau.com/collections/birchwood-patinas/products/birchwood-casey-liquid-patinas

    Would you do a reproduction 1858 stainless Remington for reenactment purposes? If so, what would the approximate cost be?

      We don't actually do the work here, we just manufacture the products. If you want, give us a call and we can give you someone's contact information in your area that can help you with that.
