I remember watching this movie in the theaters when I was like six. We had the identical car however I always noticed that the front of the car Chao is an Oldsmobile custom Cruiser but the rear end of the car is a Pontiac Bonneville Safari. They're almost identical with the exception of the tail lights.
I remember before the moive came out et news was on the set when they filmed this scene in the car. But they only showed the clip on late night tv had my dad record it to watch next day since i had to go to school.
Yeh its sad music to hear the memories of they have to go back to Cueste Verde relive where there nightmare began and confront the evil spirit again though it destroyed practically grandmas house. of course as Diane said a thousand beautiful memories from the first one. The audience who has seen the first one is feeling Steve pain too and Diane reaches out to pat his sholder knowing he seeing it all come back as they approach the lot. Where his real estate dreams got smashed to smithereens by pissed of ghosts and Kane.
Yeh the music used when the car is getting away in driveway and driving on the lawn. It looks hysterical seeing this beat up car to the rescue with the family in it driving over the lawn up against the dramatic music looked comical. Probably why they took it out and just went with silence and squealing tires.
So many people are dead from.this movie. It must be the curse... Or the fact that it's been like 40 friggin years since this came out. A lot of them weren't young when this was a new movie. Carol Anne/Heather O'Rourke dying of an intestine blockage by age 12 was very sad. She looked like hell in the 3rd movie. And Dana/Dominique Dunne being murdered by strangulation from the ex on her lawn was ridiculous. That SOB should STILL be in jail! I don't know where her MALE friend was, who should have checked up on her...
Yeh i guess they used a different housing development for these scenes. There was never a hill behind the house or it just supposed to be a pile of dirt from them digging up the pool to get to the cavern core.

Does carol have the keys to the car. Lol if steve had the keys he could have just unlocked and gotten them all in the car. Aww the beast tried to break the father daughter bond by possessing steve to capture carol anne. In that moment carol anne does not trust her family. Then steve shows his love for her by saying that was not me in the bedroom it was the beast.
