  • Here we show you a simplified way to remove a door panel from a 2018 Toyota Rav4. This is for the Drivers door but very similar for all the doors.

    Thanks for this video, dude. Dealership was going to charge me $450 to replace a passenger side mirror. With this video, I fixed it myself for $50.

    This needs to be done before removing the mirror right?

    • @richideates
      @richideates  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes..it makes it easier than fighting the panel for unplugging the wire.

    Putting back wasnt as easy as removing. The little circular plugs....that seem as if they need the panel to be lifted and then dropped in place still have not been fitted in. Help me please. I'm a lady and I followed the video and was able to do it all except fit back into the little clips.

      If you looked closely, I removed the opposite of the mirror side first. Sort on an angle, so handle side first, then it sorta pulls out of the mirror side. I dont know off the top of my head, but I would do the mirror side first on a downward angle, then make sure the top of the panel rests on the window ledge. You want to give it a good tap to make sure it is snuggly on the window ledge. If it is not completely resting on the door properly, aligning the clips to snap back to the door is going to be tough. Its not as hard as you think, its a toyota, they always go back nicely. Just make sure all the clips are out of the door and in the panel. Its just about aligning the panel to the door. You might be able to hold the panel evenly and having the bottom of he door angled outward a bit as you drop the top of the panel over the metal of the door. Once its aligned, give it a tap downward as you release the bottom of the panel to make sure it goes on snuggly to the door. I hope that helps.
