I’ve driven the Toyota Coaster and the Mitsubishi Fuso Rosa, Personally I prefer the Rosa. The only thing I reckon the Rosa could benefit from is the same Duonic auto that’s in the Canter, As I’ve also driven the Fuso Canter and that little Duonic auto is a dream of a dual clutch transmission. Just put it into Drive and off you go with the option of the Triptronic manual shift, Plus having the Shifter mounted on the dash like the Canter instead of on the engine cover for the Auto’s. It’d free up space on the engine cover next to the driver for say a Cup holder / Clip board / fare box type setup similar to what the Fuso Fighter 6 tonne trucks have on the rear of the centre seat. As I know I’d love somewhere to sit my McCrap Take away coffee or a water bottle within easy reach, Especially if your doing a long run like I did this weekend just gone over 2 days 1600km and I had no where to sit a water bottle apart from on the dash on a 30+ degree day which meant the water got hot. So it’d be nice if the little things like cup holders were also considered for more driver comfort, As we all know there’s nothing worse then a grumpy fatigued bus or heavy vehicle driver.
