Squirrel Alarms Mother Owl | 3.9.24

An Eastern Gray Squirrel alarmed the female Great Horned Owl on our Eagle Cam when the squirrel scampered up the tree. The female didn't know what it was at first and instinctively spread her wings over the nest to protect her chick. This squirrel is living dangerously considering the owls could make it their next meal.
