I deleted my social media, and deleted my SP back in September (it's been 3 months now) because I want to protect my energy. He watched my stories, but it was all passive. I want the real authentic connection with him, and until then, I'm not getting back on. So, now, I took up swimming, and plan on training to do an open-water in the new year.
Very timely! This video is definitely something I manifested. As I am improving my self-concept, I realize that since energy goes where attention flows, infinite scrolling hinders me physically and spiritually. The best version of myself isn't lazing around waiting for something mildly entertaining with each meaningless scroll... On top of that, yes, I do agree that socmed cultures foster so much negativity; jealousy, rage-baiting, low-vibrational energies; they're all there. Thanks for another insightful video, Shawn! Much love from the Philippines.
Great video as always, Shaun🙂 One of the most beneficial choices I made a few months ago was to quit looking at FB and Instagram. It greatly improved my mental health and allowed me to focus on the more important things in life, like my goals and my loved ones. My depression and anxiety reduced significantly and I really don’t miss it.
Your timing is impeccable! I’m going to do it! I have already noticed I feel like crab after spending just 10 minutes in social media. I’m deleting instagram and Facebook for 30 days
lol! I have to accept, I manifested this video into my scope 😅 I woke up today thinking I should take a full media break. Not just from social, but from everything that could visually draw me. Movies included! I already don't watch regular tv. But every now and then my social scrolling can be more than necessary. I have timers set to make sure I'm not doing more than 15 mins a day. So I've had the setup! But I realized when you said "delete the apps" there was anxiety that started bubbling up! I tried to throw excuses about how I need it to post my music and visuals, but my inner being was like "True, but stop playing, you barely do that!" My posting can be inconsistent. Yet somehow in the time it took me to write this I realized taking a break to really hone in and better understand ME might be what changes that too! so let's go🎉 Found you on the "It's Done: Living in the End" video, started calling you my spiritual big brother with the "Revise That You've Won" video. Every one is a gem, thank you 🙏🏽👑
Before I even saw this video, I put myself on kind of a social media detox a few days ago. Another tip for those who want to stay off the apps but maybe not lose all the sign-in data, most phones, I believe, will allow you to just hide the app. That way it saves your information but you're not as tempted to go on them because it will be more inconvenient to go looking for the apps again once you've hidden them. Thank you for pointing out how much better our time could be spent off of those apps. I can put more focus onto learning languages, and yes there are books I've been meaning to read. Awesome video, mah dude!
this video is very timely! thank you for calling me out. I have kepts a consistent routine when it comes to my affirmaitons and visualizations. But lately social media use has been keeping me away from that. I still affirm and visualise but lately, i’ve been slacking off and distracted by infinite scrolling thank you for this reminder. ❤
Thanks Shaun. Yes social media detox is a good suggestion to help people focus on what they really need. But in my case, I intentionally subscribe and read contents which is good for my wellbeing and enhance knowledge. Exclude & ignore anything that drag my energy down. And intentionally control the time I spend on social media ( including YT) so that I do not obsessed in any content and discussions in it.💖🙏🏻
I've been waiting for this video, I remember Shaun talking about making a video about social media detox and it's finally here! I need to do this. Thanks, Shaun!
I’ve been a cyber stalker for 20 years and initially avoided watching this video. but it’s shown me that manifestation is real, i dug and always found. more so it’s a reflection of who i’ve been and no longer want to be. thankyou for this video.
Personally not an app person (the scrolling just make my eyes and mind soar so I am just not very into this) but I think if we can remind ourselves on the importance of abundance rather than lack (missing out/they are hving fun without me, etc.), scroll away my friends because I do think social platform have their merits e.g. sharing happy moments/information/cute animal vidss Just like we always say "it's not the technique, it's WHO are using the technique", it's not whether or not you use/enjoy socials, but WHO you are when you are using those :) Catching up with the sunday service replay while I am in the middle of a business trip, shame I couldn't be there but surely appreciate the wonderful Tiffany got you doing more of the sunday service again!!! Really appreciate it! Thanks Shaun & everyone have a wonderful rest of your daysssss
Enjoy your trip! Glad that you can catch the replay as well. Yea, abundance is all around and it’s very easy to forget that when the apps are too prominent in a person’s life.
I have absolutely been using too much social media and even though it’s predominantly good /empowering content I am still wasting time and energy. This was the push to delete the apps except you tube. I love a challenge so I’ve challenged myself to no fb and IG for the rest of this year ❤
You got this! It's hard to pull away at first, but it's definitely worth it when you look back. You're going to benefit so much from it, I can tell already!
Challenge accepted, download it short form and started the free trial, I love to read, so I’m really excited for this, deleting the app as well as other apps
Two days ago I was off IG completely and today checked maybe spent 30 mins total but still! Needed this as confirmation to STAAAAAAAAAY OFF. Haha this is my vibrational wake up call like girl GET OFF!!! Because sir, you are speaking to ME!
Think about having a super computer on hand everyday is you're walking a razor's edge. On the one hand, all of your hopes and dreams are made of reality, because you learned the tools you need to make them real, and on the other hand, the exact opposite and we'll leave it at that. Why? Sensory overload do the overexposure to less than useful things; more precisely, due to posts and images and the like that induce lack.
I was just watching Cole Hastings video - Your mom was right. It's that damn phone. Before I start watching this I just want to say my take on it. If the phone we have is not modern and not pretty and has shitty camera instead just reliable in a sense of calls/texts we wouldn't use it as much. Also, I used my iPhone way more than my android phone even though it was many generations newer and faster.
Solid points. I remember when cell phones were only meant for calls and text message were even seen as impractical. Now, the phones do everything and they’re gorgeous ok top of that. Fascinating 🧐

Yes! Love this for you. It really does work.
Got back on instagram recently but realized I didn’t miss anything about to fall back and step away again.
Wow this is a great testimony, Thanks for sharing.

You’re welcome sis 😉 I’m glad you didn’t listen to the excuses and made the leap anyway. Well done! 🔥🔥🔥
I accept the challenge, I’ll detox from ig and start applying the law rather than just procrastinating. Thank you Shaun!
Awesome, you're very welcome!

Wonderful. Those with businesses and/or strategies are slightly excluded as you’ve pointed out!

Hey, I'm curious - what happened to the Facebook group?
It’s been retired! We are now cultivating a better and cohesive community on Skool: www.skool.com/here-nor-there/about
