    Thanks Again. I watched this video years ago when I had to replace my Moen Faucet Sprayer. I had to replace the Spray again and found your video to be a helpful reminder. Also, as a note to your viewers, Moen's "Buy it for Life" policy is real, I have replaced the Hot & Cold Cartridges once and Sprayers twice for free with free shipping of parts.

    I am a 60 year old woman who decided to change her faucet by herself for the first time ever. I watched a couple of other videos that made it look easy. Then I got stuck and found out I needed a basin wrench. My friends husband borrowed one and she brought it over. We started following the instructions in the moen box but were still not really sure so I went on the moen site to see if they had a video and their site was down for maintenance. So looked on TH-cam for a tutorial for my model and there you were. I cannot thank you enough for this video. Your instructions were so clear and precise. We watched each step, paused the video and did it, repeat until done. Voila I have a properly installed new faucet. Thank you again.

    When I put in a new faucet the sprayer didn't work. After seeing this video I checked to see if the MOEN name was right side up on the diverter and sure enough, I installed it upside down! After flipping it the sprayer worked like it was supposed to and suddenly, life is good again! Thanks for pointing out the "small details" like that!

    You were right, it was Easy for you to install on a nice clean worksite! Unfortunatly mine was a Mess! The Old MOEN was installed by the Stooges. The Shut Off Valves were so "Old & Cheap" they had Plastic Handles and one Snapped off in my hand before it shut off the Flow. The other was laid right up against the Sink and I was able to get it mostly shut off with 10/12 Thumps with Plyers. I just shut off the Main after that. At least they used 12" feed lines that were so short they were bent at 85* to 89* at the Connection. I went back with 20", just to hopefully give me a chance at sucess. I know you can't forsee things like this, but it's NOT Always that Easy.

    Many times what you need, will not be at Home Depot or Lowes, but always

Is it spinning when you try to loosen the nut? you may need another pair of hands to hold it on top while you try to loosen it but you should just tighten it and the rest is simple. If it doesn't tighten you may have cross threaded the nut If you get it off pull it out and check the threads. The line if its the same faucet the dark tab on the side all you do is push on one and it will release it from the fitting. watch that part at 4:10 in the video

    I have bought the same faucet, it is very very lightweight, you don't feel you have the faucet on your hand. It should have been a thicker gauge at least on the seating part. You have to provide a kind of washer, one for the hot side and for the cold side, keep the faucet in the center, and not moving. That is the hole is wider than the threaded brass tube goes underneath. PVC washers come with it is not wide enough rim to cover the hole, you can see the light through part of the hole not fully covered by PVC threaded washer goes underneath. The circumference on the top should be wider at least 1/4 more around with the existing surface. Faucet move and don't stay even in the center on the raised part. I made a wider copper washer snugly fit the hole and wider than the PVC threaded washer, Now it didn't move, and don't see light through also. Don't be cheap to provide a wider washer. Always something missing, Thanks Paramasivam

    The part that connects the hose to the faucet leaks (see th-cam.com/video/K6TYBKZUO5s/w-d-xo.html). It clicks nicely to the faucet, snug as it can be. The hose clicks in place too. So what is the issue?

    • @TheShackHome
      @TheShackHome  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Harvestr99 Do both leak or just one. It should self-sealing I can only think of a few basic options. Take it off and check to see if any dabree has interfered with the seal. wipe off the threads and clean out the hoses threads itself, reattach and see if it still leaks. If so try to tighten with channel locks just a bit, check again. If only one is leaking I'd return it for another one. Just could be a bad line.

      @@TheShackHome Hi Shack. I was pretty sure the issue was new fitting on an old faucet. Parts might change over time. So, I just bought a whole new faucet. All the parts look the same as my old one, but the faucet I bought was a kit with the sprayer as well. Everything worked fine the first time. So, it was just a matter of old faucet not working with new parts. Thanks for the reply.

    I have a feeling finding those slick water supply lines will be difficult.

      Calbenmike Home Depot carries these. Only a time or two they were out of stock but hopefully in stock near you if not you can always go on line order them and have them delivered or pick them up in store.

      sorry but that seem to be an issue in many places. My father-in-law asked me to build him a bench because the carpenters in his area were too bust or just didn't want the job because it was too small. There is no job too small I'm living proof. it leads to many other jobs they are missing out. Be optimistic keep looking you just might fine just what you need. It just may take a little more time. Wish I could help.

    You forgot to show how to install the sprayer base on to the sink with only one person. I'm installing this now and no way to tighten this without two people. Thinking of using a vice grip to stop the fixture from rotating. Care to share how you managed? P.S. Seems if you screw the fixture in as much as you can then insert the sprayer hose, pulling on the hose supplies sufficient friction to complete the screw down. Another downer about this Moen, Try using a hair dryer on the spray hose to relax it. This thing is coiled like a Rattlesnake. I can only extract about a foot through the top of the sink -no more. The only saving grace is the spray head rotates 360 degrees, otherwise it would probably be useless. Finally, the handles are too long (in the name of style no doubt) and bump into the sprayer head (which can be rotated out-of-the-way but still a pain). Who is designing these things? Obviously, the lowest bidder.

    • @TheShackHome
      @TheShackHome  ปีที่แล้ว

      Kenton Kirkpatrick I did this complete install with no tools. as far as the hose I demostated that by runnung hot water through the hose to relax it and worked fine, the handles dont touch on mine all worked great.

      @@TheShackHome After using for five months, I stand by my statement. The handles are too long. Unless you turn to the sprayer to the right (after use), the handle bumps into the sprayer. PITA.
