Our local arcade has just got one of these and my initial impression is very positive. It is pretty hard work for someone with my skill level but when the multiball goes it's great fun for a few seconds. I also love the fact you can steal a ball from the Atom Smasher once you've got a few locked there. That gives you a two ball multiball and an extra ball.
I don't know enough about rewriting code but wouldn't this be an awesome game if the locked balls were released after every ball? Seems easy enough to qualify and lock a ball?
You have to be careful. Other objects on the playfield might get broken from a faster ball. The better option is to reduce the playfield angle & keep the flipper mech super clean and tuned.

This game always frustrated me as to why they only used a 7 digit display for each player when you could easily flip it.....then i watched other people play it and was like...ooooh.,...,
Iirc it didn't flip, it went into exponentials so that they could still be handled with 7 digits. At least, the one my dad had did that I think. 🤔 (slightly fitting, too... Doing it the 'maths/science' way!)
My father refurbished one of these growing up so having the noises stuck into my head and hearing them again brings back a lot of nostalgia.
The one i played didn’t shoot out each ball during multi-ball…they just came raining down all at once, which was always a moment of “dark” surprise…

I just bought one of these - it's different and good fun. simple gameplay but that's what I like!

The 5 ball multi-ball is pure insanity. And the multiplier is WAY too high.
I agree, it makes scoring too unbalanced. It should have no multiplier at all like centaur

Why did they do such bad sound when Gottliebs Genesis had a really nice soundtrack back then.
Because Bally said hold my beer, for making pinballs as cheaply as possible. 6803 Pins are a PITA to repair. I've done two so far..
