nsw dont need another transient coach like madge ,better of going with cleary because if he can do it this year and prove himself then he can continue on no dramas ,but if you go with a media personality or coach in waiting then you mite get another transient coach like madge ,cleary mite add stability to the nsw job
Hes biased ,peter sterlings opinion is better , its near impossible to 3 peat in the modern era with the salary cap ,theyve gone to 5 and won 4 straight bennet couldn't even 3 peat and they call him the goat ,end of story clearys the goat cos in our lifetime we wont see it done again
Boyd Cordner for NSW coach maybe? Lots of passion, ex NSW captain, great in front of the camera, young and not looking for a head coaching job anytime soon. Works within the Roosters system now so has Robinson to lean on.. Throw some experience around him, and then maybe someone like Peter Wallace from the Panthers as well.. Wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.
penrith have lost a lot of players to other clubs the last few years ,next year they lose more ,ivan coaching nsw and bringing back half those players into origin would be great ,bringing back the band so to speak ,ivan is a relaxed fella but hes teams play like there life depends on it and on sunday it was an origin type performance ,penrith play an origin type game plan ,all he needs to do is get nsw firing and redlining which he does with penrith anyway.
The bottom line is they are the nrl great team but remember scribes they could not beat Wigan or St Helens home and away they are 0 wins 4 loses give credit to the superleague in England

When Moses replaced injured Cleary for game 2, under the same coach and with the same teammates, NSW lost 32-6. With Cleary out and Moses in, everything else being equal, NSW went backwards by 18 points. Put Cleary in the same team that Moses had in 2024, with Edwards instead of Tedesco, a proper forward pack, and under Maguire, and NSW would have won even more easily than they did.
