Thank you all again for helping me reach the 10k subscriber milestone! This video is my first docustory and commemorates this awesome achievement. Thank you so much! 😊
you did really good on your video! did you go trough the editing yourself 100% ? because it is done correct. audio is all equalized nicely, smooth transitions and you present it all beautifully with a great voice. keep it up :)
This video is great! However I think it is important to note that the IGN translation of Yang Qi and Feng Ji's comments are inadequate, and when taken out of the context of the entire post, are greatly misleading. For example, Feng Ji's post, while it is an explicit comment but it is a very common phrase used by almost all Chinese colloquially. Also Yang Qi's post, is actually critical of sexist practice of some developers advertising games as "full of female gamers" in order to attract male gamers who wanted to date female gamers in the Chinese gaming industry. Also, Yang Qi's post was made shortly before the monetization-heavy Asura, which should tell you that it was at least partially criticizing Tencent for the heavy focus on monetization they were required to do. Picking out two poorly translated sentences that completely ignored the tone, and the theme of their entire post, misrepresents the intentions of the people that made them.
Very good docu-series, a lot of research is needed to piece them up for this video. Game Science deserves the credit for underpromising and over-delivered (I still can't believe how this unknown studio can deliver a finished product relatively bug-free and not far off the trailers), and hopes to inspire other small gaming studios to create games that gamers want.
Chinese devs have been delivering games that gamers want for yrs to be frank.... Hoyoverse has been successfully owning and hoovering up cash in the mobile space consistently for yrs now with multiple titles! Genshin Impact being the most recent.... and Hoyoverse isnt even alone... Sony would love to own a Hoyoverse that knows what its doing in the mobile space as well as own a Gamescience that can smack the big boys on its first outing as a AAA singleplayer! Gamescience sounds like a studio that Sony would pick up before it went nuclear.... i cant see it happening now unless Sony has a plan for a Sony China studio!! Gamescience's worth is now through the roof!! and Gamescience even has a frikking clear roadmap that outlines at least the next 20 yrs in games and directiion!! if Sony acquired them then thats 20 yrs of sure win content! at least we can look to China for none of this forced western woke ideology BS as a rising power in untapped games and lore!!
Oh great to know that the Red Tides is the title of their second mobile game. I think that’s the reason that it becomes the first weapon we get from Black Myth Wukong. And it helped me a lot for the first few bosses. Interesting 😊
Facts for the uninitiated Western audience: Feng ji and yang qi have different political leanings, feng ji believes in communism and has a positive attitude towards the Chinese government while yang qi prefers to believe in Western liberalism (He used to make some anti-China remarks on weibo), but that doesn't keep them apart as they know each other's talents and put aside their prejudices for the sake of fulfilling their dream game each other's prejudices. (Although there are memes on the Chinese internet about these two getting into direct physical confrontations when they disagree)
Wow, this is truly incredible! You can really feel the immense variety of skills that went into creating such a magnificent game like Black Myth: Wukong. From mastering cutting-edge technology like Unreal Engine to the attention to every visual detail and the authentic incorporation of Chinese mythology, everything is on an exceptional level. Huge congratulations to the Game Science team for striking such a perfect balance between art, technology, and culture! 🎮🔥👏
PBRMAX also helped with scanning 3d assets from across China which was used in the game Such as the Dazu rock carvings and 28 mansion constellations statues
Tencent has been investing in stand-alone game manufacturers around the world, but it is too easy to make money from mobile games. Tencent itself will not spend $75 million to develop a stand-alone game with uncertain future. Of course, the success of Black Myth may change Tencent's mind.

2PM to 12PM,not 996 but similar situation. Working out such game with 100 people, do you expect they are not over-working? None cn game companies work only 8 hrs a day...

Thank you, so glad you enjoyed the video! And thank you for the additional context
The EN counter part of that phrase would be brown nosing, in my opinion. Elegant? no. Problematic? hells no

They really put so much thought into each detail of the game! ☺️

你又知道了. 自由派不是反华. 真正的自由派是反封建, 杨琦就是这种自由派. 反华那种是目田, 是对面的奴才. 完全是两回事.
If I had Wukong’s agility, I’d be the star of every game of tag… and avoid all adulting
😂
Thanks for giving us a detailed story of success of Game Science. The road to success is never easy and smooth.
Thank you for watching 😊 indeed, very well said!
thank you for putting it together without bias! very inspiring.

Very nicely made docu, keep it up!
Aww thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed it! ☺️❤️
This was such a well made docu series that i thought it was a bigger channel. Small channel, big production just like Gane science!!!
That means a lot, thank you so much!! 😊❤️
I enjoyed this video. Very well documented and presented. Kudos!

Feng Ji graduated from HuaZhong University of Science & Technology instead of Hang zhou UST, plus the photo is the gate of Zhe Jiang UST.
Tencent need to stop making those mobile games man
Imagine triple A Chinas game with high budget Tencent
Pffft that will never happen. Mobile games are their biggest cash cows. Capitalist only care about profit thats why they destroy everything they touch
That would be awesome!

Very true
No big deal considering there's free meals at the company and you can sleep there as well.

I guess it's assumed that you know already, but FYI Tencent is the publisher of League of Legends.
Also the peak was 2.4 million not 2.2 million. Are you work for Ign?😉
Chill man, it's not affect the whole😂
I think she meant 2.2mil peak in the first day
well deserver comment. Amazing video !
Aww thank you so much!! ☺️ ❤️
Amazing video. But remove the IGN rubbish. IGN is irrelevant and no longer part of gaming.
