You're welcome @dmoe5000! Glad it helped you out. I have another video that goes more in depth with adding programs to the expansions if you'd like to check it out on my channel.
VB, thanks for the info‼️ I got the expansion in the software with the logo but there was no sounds‼️What can I do to get the sounds imported after the fact 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🥹🥹🥹✨✨⚡️⚡️💯💯‼️‼️
You might have to check that the samples are encoded correctly to mp3 or wav. You can use a tool like cloudconvert or something similar to make sure the files are encoded correctly. Then try creating the expansion again with those files and it should work. I have had that happen to me before and it turned out to be the encoding.
Great video and Tutorial Bro!!! I have a few questions.... I have a bunch of kits/sounds that I want to condense into let's say...1 or more specific Expansion kits... How can I create or just use For example: Out of 500 drum sounds, I want to make a personal Expansion Kit that may include 3 pgm files with 64 pads filled up each, annnnd, with the preview that would play when I would "Audition" that particular pgm... Thanks for sharing!!! #Salute
Hey @djskillzz215 the trick is to save all the programs into a folder and in that folder create another folder with the name [previews], then drop all the previews for each pgm/xpm with the naming convention pgm_name.xpm/pgm.mp3/wav. You can also export an audio mixdown with the option "save as project preview" right from the MPC software or standalone MPC and it will name is correctly for you. Then when you have all that done follow the steps on this video to create xpn file, drop it into MPC software and you should be good to go. I am not really sure what the maximum number of files you can put into an xpn but I have done it with huge Splice libraries and it worked, just got a little warning when I pressed the "Do It" button but it worked fine. Let me know if you have any other questions or if you got it working!
@@VigoBeatz Thanks for your response Bro! I'm gonna try all of this soon and I'll keep you updated... I see you put out a new video, I'll check that one out as well.. #Salute

I'm getting an error every time I try to load a large XPN file into my akai mpc software.
Hmm that's odd. Did you check with another XPN file? Maybe that one is corrupted or something. Did you download it inside a zip folder? Make sure it's fully extracted and you see the 16pad red icon before you drag it in.
Bro you have to include the audio preview instructions so you can demo sounds when browsing the expansions, there's a little hack to it

Try loading it from the file browser View > Browser > File Browser
@@VigoBeatz I tried that and still the same thing.
