This was a fantastic demonstration of so many techniques! I don’t have a press so I’m thinking of how to use the printing techniques using my gelli plate. The layering from grey to black was really interesting and created a nice base for the colors you added. Excited to create some collographs and stencils. Thanks for the inspiration. 😍
I love all your videos but this ONE - WOW! I learned sooooo much about monotypes, color and tools (digging out all my old makeup brushes!). Thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you Marta. I'm having problems purchasing your type of Dura-Lar in the UK at the moment - Amazon say it takes months to arrive here from the USA! I wonder if you know a UK supplier please? There are other types available, but not yours.
@@CollagraphPrinting Yes, I have ordered from them now, but I was really hoping for a pad the same size as yours - they don't seem to exist here. But thank you so much for your time and help Marta, much appreciated.
It’s akua ink which is soy oil based ink. It seems to be absolutely fine, I printed it all on one day. I guess all the acrylic will do is seal the ink underneath it. You could of course wait for the ink to dry first just to make sure.
Thank you for sharing this. I'm so glad I found you. My head is exploding with ideas ❤
Amazing, that’s music to my ears 🤗
Absolutely insightful and inspiring!!!
Thank you 🙏 🤗

Thank you, glad you enjoyed the video 🤗

Ah fantastic print! The gelli plate layer is the cherry on top. I love the transparent blocks of colour. Just beautiful.

great integration of techniques and a lovely result! Just one question: is your ink oil based? Just curious how that works with acrylic?
It’s akua ink which is soy oil based ink. It seems to be absolutely fine, I printed it all on one day. I guess all the acrylic will do is seal the ink underneath it. You could of course wait for the ink to dry first just to make sure.
Why is the ink still wet enough to print from on the newspaper sheet. Is it the fact you are using Akua?
@@bixnash1 partly yes but most printmaking inks stay wet for a while
