Hi Patrick and Mary. Love this video and your channel. Would like to send you a similar package full of things about the Isle of Wight, where I live. The Island is just off the south coast of England and is a full county of the UK, it is a quirky place and is somewhat different to the "mainland" 😂 It is full of tourist things, with incredible scenery. Don't know how much you know about it?
Great video, Patrick! Blackpool is indeed a bit like Vegas-it's a fantastic place. Here's a snippet of information about it: Blackpool is located on the Fylde Coast (pronounced "File") in the county of Lancashire (pronounced "Lan-ka-sheer"). It borders the Irish Sea. From the top of the Blackpool Tower, on a clear day, you can see North Wales, the Isle of Man, and Liverpool. The tower even has a glass floor you can step on, though I'm too squeamish for that! Just up the road is Pendle Hill, and the county town Lancaster famous for the Pendle witch trials. These trials set off a chain of events that led to the English witch trials and later the Salem witch trials. The Blackpool Dungeons delve into this history, where you can experience a mock trial and be sentenced as a witch. You can also see Pendle Hill from the top of the tower.
Add Mablethorpe, Skegness and Ingoldmells to your UK 'seaside' tour (all within a few miles of eachother on east coast) amazing showcase of british coastal culture 😊
Blackpool was a booming seaside holiday spot that grew with the railway. It has a famous Illuminated promenade and the biggest tower only slightly smaller than the eiffel tower. The mayor responsible had grand plans! Sadly, the town has diminished due to package foreign holidays. It's really quite depressed now with a big drug problem and a failing high street. It's also famous for its fun fair, a bit like Coney Island. The beautiful lake district is a stones throw and we'll worth seeing. Blackpool might be worth a day's stay.
It's happened to a lot of northern seaside towns not so much southern because proximity to London have kept house prices and amenities high. Thatcher killed industry up north and when tourism left no jobs. 😢
I could listen to that atlas all day.
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it!
That purring on headphones is insane.
She has a loud purr. Her brother barely purrs at all
I'm enjoying the new "Trixie Unboxing" series 😅
Thank you!!!!

I have trouble pronouncing pronunciations, too.
