It's not only about Big Games copying content from other, more successful games that are on the front page of roblox, it is also pretty easy to notice that once a game that they make dies a few months after it releases, they decide to make another one, basically introducing the same boring and braindead mechanics in hopes that the experience blows up. And the worst thing is that it ACTUALLY blows up 99% of the time and they just repeat the whole process. Seriously in my opinion games like the ones that Big Games make, is what makes roblox boring nowadays. It's just that the whole platform is flooded with garbage, repeating content with no other intentions aside from making money.

i genuinely think the fishing thing was a coincidence. they’re slowly adding things from ps99 into pets go and there’s always been an empty dock on the pets go map so it was pretty clear that fishing was coming soon. fishing is a mechanic in ps99 and the fishing mechanic there is quite similar to fisch and it was out wayy before fisch was even released. however, i have to agree that the events in ps99 such as stand in line, rng and tycoon are just lazily copy and pasted slop.

Combat waffle studio does the same thing (a VR Gaming studio.) they’re extremely scummy as a studio, with corrupt moderators on their discord, and a really bad CEO, but somehow, despite their only game being a ripoff of tarkov (they’re working on a rust ripoff rn) they’re a colossal VR Studio.
I do agree, I got scammed of extremely valuable items in it and I tried reporting it (I had more than enough evidence with us talking about the trade and the recording of the scam and the messages afterward) Yet since none of it was from discord, It was null and void. The creators are horrible and yes, I know they basically just made Tarkov VR, but I still find the game fun, despite the horrible creators

Big Games has been doing this ever since Pet Sim X even. Back when a genre of simulator where you throw things as far as you can to get money to increase your throw distance was getting popular, PSX had a pet throwing event where you'd do the exact same thing.
This video is somewhat true but here is extra context. I don’t love or hate BIG Games but Pet Simulator 99 added the fishing mechanic at the game’s release before Fisch was created. BIG Games is simply taking mechanics from PS99 and putting it in Pets GO, infact other popular Roblox games have fishing mechanics similar to Fisch that were implemented before Fisch was even released, stop blaming BIG Games for everything.
Thats not the point he's trying to make. The point in the video is that the devs are adding the features only when other games are getting popular that use similar features. Its a simple marketing tactic to steal popularity from other games. Its not illegal but it could be considered morally wrong and its just scummy business practices.

big games sort of reminds me of brent rivera. they’re both extremely popular and wealthy and could easily create their own unique ideas but they just find it easier to copy someone else.

another “art imitates art” example is fishing simulator and fisch. both are games with similar mechanics; boats, fishing, mutations, etc. both are also pretty good games.
I can really see the resemblance between both games!! I realized that even though those games are similar, they focus on something different. Fishing simulator is a game about most missions and map exploring, like the boss battles and the stuff you need to do to unlock secret areas etc, while fisch seems to be more of a chill game where you decide what you want to do, if you will grind up to get rich or if you will collect the fishes since there's a huge variety of them Btw, I also reccomend you to play both of these games if you haven't yet. Fisch has awesome mechanics and fishing simulator is more of a chaotic game since it's very buggy, but it's super enjoyable too!

About the fishing part, your not 100% correct, like I'm not denying that pets go added fishing because they saw how big fisch is, but at the same time pet simulator 99 had a fishing mechanic that they have actively been utilizing for over half a year now.

I would just like to point out that Big Games already had a fishing minigame in Pet Simulator 99, way before Fisch got to number 1. But I have to agree that Big Games puts in their least effort into all of their games.
Not defending Big Games but, Fisch isn't the first fishing type of game in Roblox it just makes the mechanic the main game unlike other games where it's sided and not in the main progression. I remember I tried a fishing game a long time ago called Fishing Simulator and it was very much like Fisch, hell even Fisch plans to add aquariums (in Fishing Simulator you could add your fish to your aquariums to flex them, yadda yadda yadda). In summary: this drama is dumb.
I play PetsGo when I want to check out and not think lol Roblox will NEVER hold Preston responsible for break the TOS of Roblox. Preston is their cash cow.
To play devil's advocate, yes, Pet Sim 99 copied line games, that's non-negotiable, but Pet RNG is debatable, pretty sure since release you could fish on Pet Sim 99, all they did is take those assets and put them on RNG and remove the fishing mechanic, which makes sense because it's meant to be a game you AFK, is the timing suspicious? Yes. Would it have happened either way? Yes. The one other minigame they had is a copy of Mining Simulator so it needs you to actually be there to play, unlike fishing, RNG isn't the focus unlike 99 so they'll spend time developing 99 and porting what's available to RNG, the issue is RNG isn't too compatible with 99, I'll be real, I believe fishing was added to cash in on the hype just like the original RNG update on 99 but when you stop to look at 99, there's literally nothing else from it that can really enter RNG, timing or not, fishing was probably about to be added either way.
They stole an entire game called Yeet a Friend and put it in Pet Simulator X. Like the entire game was just an event in PSX and nobody even called them out.

as a player of pet sim and pets go i can confirm that the EXACT fishing mechanic found in pets go was in pet sim 99 on release (dec 1 2023). additionally, pets go had the dock added from release (before fisch popped off) and were probably planning on adding it

Big Games pretty much has 0 original concepts anymore. The minute a new trend becomes popular, they need to make a cheap knockoff with like 10 expensive gamepasses to add onto it.
Most of the money that developers would have gotten from DevEx is spent on Roblox’s moderation. Which means that NSFW content on the platform is hurting developers.

As a game developer, they do this for more traction. When Big Games sees a game or genre gaining traction, they take advantage of that by adding it their own game. By doing this, it could bring in more players, giving them a wider playbase. This ultimately ends up giving them more money. You can see this like in PS99, they added an RNG event (before making Pets Go) because RNG's were doing well on Roblox. I'm assuming that they saw success in that PS99 event and decided to make Pets Go. Anyway, you can also see this right now, because there is a wait in line event in PS99, which is somehow trending right now. They arent necessarily stealing directly from these games and trends, but using them to their ideas to their advantage and profiting off them, which is important when the whole existence of your game studio is to make money.

i genuinely think the fishing thing was a coincidence. they’re slowly adding things from ps99 into pets go and there’s always been an empty dock on the pets go map so it was pretty clear that fishing was coming soon. fishing is a mechanic in ps99 and the fishing mechanic there is quite similar to fisch and it was out wayy before fisch was even released. however, i have to agree that the events in ps99 such as stand in line, rng and tycoon are just lazily copy and pasted slop.

I do agree, I got scammed of extremely valuable items in it and I tried reporting it (I had more than enough evidence with us talking about the trade and the recording of the scam and the messages afterward) Yet since none of it was from discord, It was null and void.

Big Games has been doing this ever since Pet Sim X even. Back when a genre of simulator where you throw things as far as you can to get money to increase your throw distance was getting popular, PSX had a pet throwing event where you'd do the exact same thing.

I don’t love or hate BIG Games but Pet Simulator 99 added the fishing mechanic at the game’s release before Fisch was created. BIG Games is simply taking mechanics from PS99 and putting it in Pets GO, infact other popular Roblox games have fishing mechanics similar to Fisch that were implemented before Fisch was even released, stop blaming BIG Games for everything.

It IS NOT a copy of fisch.... just because they have fishing doesn't mean that they stole it from fisch, that's like saying some new soda brand called like "Good Soda" or something is a copy of coca-cola because they stole the idea of soda- it just doesn't make any sense. I can really see the resemblance between both games!! I realized that even though those games are similar, they focus on something different. Fishing simulator is a game about most missions and map exploring, like the boss battles and the stuff you need to do to unlock secret areas etc, while fisch seems to be more of a chill game where you decide what you want to do, if you will grind up to get rich or if you will collect the fishes since there's a huge variety of them
Btw, I also reccomend you to play both of these games if you haven't yet. Fisch has awesome mechanics and fishing simulator is more of a chaotic game since it's very buggy, but it's super enjoyable too!

I would just like to point out that Big Games already had a fishing minigame in Pet Simulator 99, way before Fisch got to number 1. But I have to agree that Big Games puts in their least effort into all of their games.
Not defending Big Games but, Fisch isn't the first fishing type of game in Roblox it just makes the mechanic the main game unlike other games where it's sided and not in the main progression. I remember I tried a fishing game a long time ago called Fishing Simulator and it was very much like Fisch, hell even Fisch plans to add aquariums (in Fishing Simulator you could add your fish to your aquariums to flex them, yadda yadda yadda). In summary: this drama is dumb.

To play devil's advocate, yes, Pet Sim 99 copied line games, that's non-negotiable, but Pet RNG is debatable, pretty sure since release you could fish on Pet Sim 99, all they did is take those assets and put them on RNG and remove the fishing mechanic, which makes sense because it's meant to be a game you AFK, is the timing suspicious? Yes. Would it have happened either way? Yes. The one other minigame they had is a copy of Mining Simulator so it needs you to actually be there to play, unlike fishing, RNG isn't the focus unlike 99 so they'll spend time developing 99 and porting what's available to RNG, the issue is RNG isn't too compatible with 99, I'll be real, I believe fishing was added to cash in on the hype just like the original RNG update on 99 but when you stop to look at 99, there's literally nothing else from it that can really enter RNG, timing or not, fishing was probably about to be added either way.

As a game developer, they do this for more traction. When Big Games sees a game or genre gaining traction, they take advantage of that by adding it their own game. By doing this, it could bring in more players, giving them a wider playbase. This ultimately ends up giving them more money. You can see this like in PS99, they added an RNG event (before making Pets Go) because RNG's were doing well on Roblox. I'm assuming that they saw success in that PS99 event and decided to make Pets Go. Anyway, you can also see this right now, because there is a wait in line event in PS99, which is somehow trending right now. They arent necessarily stealing directly from these games and trends, but using them to their ideas to their advantage and profiting off them, which is important when the whole existence of your game studio is to make money.

Sure, Big Games is stubid and deserves hate, but just because a game adds a fishing mechanic dosent mean they just yoinked the idea of "fishing" from Fisch. Before Fisch was a thing they had a fishing mechanic in their other pet sim game. The line game thing sucks but they didn't just rip off Fisch.
Remember, they added the fishing mechanic RIGHT AFTER fisch got popular.
