Cute card and pretty nails Kelly. Fun carrot fact: the orange 🥕 s we know today were first cultivated in the 17th century in the Netherlands 🇳🇱, Dutch farmers crossed purple ( cultivated in the far East in Asia) western ( red and white) possibly even wild carrots to get the orange color we know today. The orange carrots were first cultivated in the Dutch city of Hoorn and were grown in tribute to King William of the Netherlands 🇳🇱 who led the independence movement from Spanish Habsburg rule. The Dutch royal house is the House of Orange-Nassau officially but is referred to as The House of Orange shorthandedly. current King 👑 of the Netherlands, Willem- Alexander is a descendant of Willem IV.
I love CCC and Anita Jeram images. So much fun with the bunny’s. You are lucky to have such nice natural nails. I laughed out loud at “put on your own music” … because yes!
Love your card. It brought back memories of playing on my grandparents 11 acres. Running through the cornstalks, eating veggies right out of the garden. Needed this after the week I've had.
I absolutely adore the relationship you have with your family, especially your momma. Reminds me soooo much of the relationship I had with my mother. I lost her in November of 2021, to cancer. The hardest thing I have been through in my 39 years on earth. Your mom stories make me so happy and I love them so much. Glad you got some sleep. Anyway.... card is absolutely gorgeous as ALWAYS. Sending big hugs!!! Love ya bunches!!!
I like the Karin markers too, appreciate you showing how to combine colors to stretch the sets. The animals are beautiful with the light colors/shadow look. I don't do my nails but others in my family do so passing on your tips
it is fascinating to watch you watercolor. so glad I can slow things down and stop and start when I get my stamps and try this. hope I ordered them from the right link so you get credit. thanks as always for sharing and all the inspiration.
Precious little card! I loved story time today because I was a former Nail Tech. I can vouch for the Orly Bonder, it's what I used. Personally, I have been using nail wraps lately since I am too impatient for dry time, lol. You have beautiful nails and they always look amazing!! 👍🏻👍🏻
Super cute card! I love the Anita Jeram stamps and dies (as well as her book illustrations. I was interested in hearing about your nails. I haven’t had a manicure since the beginning of the pandemic (I take chemo drugs so avoiding most people). My nails are a mess. Hoping your tips will help!
This is so cute Kelly, but of course I love all of Anita Jerum’s designs! And the little critter is a guinea pig. You can tell by the shape of his mouth and cheeks.
Absolutely adorable card! I loved watching you create and paint the scene. I've never tried using my watercolor markers to watercolor with. Sometimes I'm better at buying art supplies than using them. After watching this I am ready to try, especially after your explanation about adding small amounts of different colors to a color. Thank you for sharing this video!
so cute! I told hubby that there’s a new Anita Jeram release. His response? “Oh, well.” Because I just put in an order with someone else, didn’t know this was coming 😞
Beautiful card and thank you for the storytime. I have tried and loved both of those products but I've never tried them together, now I will. Thank you so much! 🤩🤩🤩
Love this as always. Colorado Craft is a favorite but kind of intimidating to me. I'm waiting for you to use the Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress watercolor pencils. I Had to have them and now don't know what to do with them.
Ive been looking for a better topcoat. Been using seche vite for years and there is shrinkage. Thanks for the tip. Love the card - you put sooooo much time and effort into this project. 😊
Cute scene, Kelly, and as always, lovely colouring brought the bunnies alive. I always wondered who did your nails as they are always perfect so good colouring there too! ❤️🇨🇦
This was so helpful for how I can color my Anita Jeram images. I really enjoyed story time, as well, though I have no patience for doing my nails. Thanks for all you do.
Beautiful! The other thing you can try for the colors that stain really bad like that blue is paint the marker on a damp brush. I get a mid intensity between the pen directly and picking up the color from my glass mat and pen direct to paper.
Adorable card, Kelly. I’ve had acrylic nails for 32 years (yes, it hurt to type that - lol) and I just had surgery #17. They have never told me I needed a remove the acrylic. Do you know why they asked you to do that?
They need you to remove acrylic or gel nails from at least one finger so the pulse ox (the thing they put on your finger to get your oxygen readings) will read correctly. It uses an infrared technology (that I can’t explain well lol) and it needs a clear, clean nail bed. Even dark colors of regular polish over your own nails can cause false readings. I’m surprised they never made you remove one. But they must have found a way to work around it in your case. Nice!

Oh, the things you learn on card videos.
Adorable! Anita’s critters are so cute and you added to their cuteness. Nice info on using what you have to change tone of colors.

Kelly I found that Karin’s work better with Strathmore Bristol….the colors spread much easier. Worth a try
