A pen and ink drawing is exactly what i would like to do.. So i love to see you do this.. I think first and foremost i'am an illustrator ... and i'd love to learn a nice way to color them in.. Enjoyed this over coffee this morning Diane.. You always give me the urge to draw.. So i keep a pad of paper close to the computer for when the urge hits me.. It is very late here but your this sketch came up on TH-cam and I just LOVE IT. I am a potter and am making pumpkins in my studio. Throwing and decorating them. This sketch just thrilled me! I will try it. I looked for the download but not there. Anyway I love it!👩🏻🎨🎃🍂
My 214 th. Finally, after 5 ours knifework a managed to make a proximite 13 liters of pumpkinsoup. It ha s to cool down the night over before I put itin 1 liter portions in the freezer.😅😅😅. I choose this video because of the pumpkin subject. So nicely designed! Like a mentioned in another comment making pumpkin soup is somewhat similar to make a painting. O, and yes there are blue pumpkins, I grew them in my garden besides the bottlepumpkins I used for the soup. I will give you my recipe using the amount of ingredients in grams. But: no soup equals another, I usually use what my garden offers me and i put it all together in my 14 liter pot. So just look at the ingredients and make your own amounts of ingredients. You also can leave or add some. YOU CANNOT DO WRONG. O, and I sliced every ingredient into little pieces. THE FIRST LAYER ( basically for all my soups ) is a good shoot of olive oil, add ( 450 grams) onions as much as you like and also garlic ( 60 grams) and some red pepper ( I used just one because my gardenpeppers are really 🥵 hot). Let it simmer . SECOND LAYER : while the first layer simmers you "slaughter" your pumpkins into about 1 by 1 cm pieces. I used bottlepumpkins and took the shell off before cutting. Add this to layer one. ( I used 6000 gr = 6 kilo's pumpkin) and let all simmer. Try not to add water, but stir instead now and then. Add some fresh orange juice ( I used 2 oranges) and appels ( I used three = 300 gr). This gives some moisture. THIRD LAYER: let everything simmer. After a while the pumpkin will get softer and will fall apart. Meanwhile you prepare carrots ( I had 1450 grams cleaned from my gardencarrots) ans add them. Stay stirring. You can see that your coming soup shrimped a bit, so more adding is needed. FOURTH LAYER. I add the half of recommended broth tablets ( I used 6 🍄 mushroom tablets and 4 vegetable tablets). Now I decided to add a liter boiled water. This is optional and you can add as much as you like. I like my soup very very very filled with vegetables and very little water. At this stage Diane says " we let it all dry and see what is needed". So I added sweet potatoes ( 🍠 820 gr) and in the freezer I found paprika 🫑 250 grams, celeriac 390 grams and 🫛 peas (350 grams). My pot wasn't all filled up so I bought three zucchini's and added them. FINALLY: let it simmer. It took me a long time because of the amount, but when everything is aft and juicy it is ready to finish. I always blend it into a very creamy substance. Now you can add some whater if you like, but I never do. After a night cooling down I make portions of one liter that is enough for two people, and frees it. Always handy when you have no time to cook and want some comfort food. TOUCHES . Warming your frozen soup you can add fresh herbs or spices ( oregano ,thyme, sage or cinnamon) . Also nice is to put some shrimps or pieces salmon in your soup. Go wild! And of corse some garlic croutons😅. Bon appetit enjoy your soup 😊Wim
Oh thank you so much for these details about how you make your wonderful soup! It’s a great idea to make more and put it in the freezer. I really should try to do that. I make soup every two days because we have it for lunch every single day along with toasted sandwiches in the summer we have salad and a sandwich but in the winter that’s what we have. I always make mine also with a mixture of vegetables but not quite such an exciting mixture as yours! It’s a good idea not to use too much water I’m sure that makes the flavour more intense. Thanks again, and I will incorporate some of your ideas into my recipe!
