India Pakistan is one of poorest countries of the world, very less investment and more production is basic rule. Here toilet is also floor based not chair type as western countries have. Floor serves many purpose.

A small modification . The air vent should be downward sloping so that no dust or ash enters fan. A detachable air vent and fan will make it more handy to carry

Have you/he tried to build a Wood Gas Stove. Somewhat similar build, but one gets a blue flame which is better for cooking. Maybe it's an option and given his high skill level surely doable

Is the battery running the fan to increase air flow, or is the airflow from the fire's draft running the fan motor in reverse to charge the 12v battery?
If so, and these were sold to areas without electric power, the 12v battery could then be used at home for small electrical needs including nighttime lighting.
Getting views from someone's hard work, you could have posted a buying link or number so that people looking forward to purchasing it could buy one and support the young man.

It is not smokeless. Extension for fan can be attached from inside. Good work done by the boy under instructions of a senior.
It's almost 95 % smokeless as you can see the stove burning.
