  • Severe hail storm in perth 22/3/2010. Lots of cars damaged (all!) by golf ball sized hail stones. All good fun until you realise your car is in the car park... Hope the RAC has plenty of cash in reserve!

No it's very quaint, a little piece of yesteryear amongst all the dross that is content on TH-cam.
I loved the plop plop of the hail into the the pools of water; the young woman running through the water with all that ice; and the two homeless magpies at 0:46. It looks as though it's at UWA - I was very sad to see such terrible damage there, especially a library.
A very good film - l am grateful not to have heard the same old verbiage that passes for communication on other YT films.

I was in rockingham so all we got was rain and lightning but by god it was EPIC!
I still see cars with the dents from the hail now.

Sewerage and drainage sound very boring right up until they're not working. This is the best in-the-eye-of-the-2010-storm video l've seen. Thanks also for the absence of swearing and moronic comments.

@tootie1009 Wow, that's a story you won't forget - you'll be telling the grand kids in years to come... "Twas the great Perth hail storm of 2010..."

@wadjela Exactly - if it wasn't for all those pesky ice blocks, branches and leaves blocking the drain inlets I suspect most of that water (in the car park) would have drained away immediately.

@banksiasong Thanks for that clarification banksiasong! Although I only spent about 5 minutes splicing together a couple of scenes for this video, I did actively attempt to cut them at the point of swearing... You have made me consider exactly why I said "don't swear" though, considering almost everybody did... ;-) I guess it didn't fit with the tranquility of the calm after the storm.

Yep - I suppose it's actually encouraged on TH-cam. What can I say... keep searching, I'm sure you'll stumble upon far more bizarreness than what you've witnessed here.

The pedestrian vridge at Edgewater partially collapsed. The hail really hurt hey.
