    The tragic incidents that happened last year where 2 female idol celebrities took their own lives after years of suffering from hate and malicious comments from the netizens. It was one of the saddest times in the Kpop industry last year. Not forgetting another male celebrity who did the same about 2-3 years ago. So this song really goes deep.

    Going back to your earlier comment about how we push so hard for people to dig deeper into their complex lyrics and wordplay... It's important to us because BTS doesn't have the luxury of being white or English speaking. They have had to work a hundred times harder just to get to where they are right now because it's so common for people, especially in the west, to regard them as just a novelty with little to no substance in their music. That they only exploded in popularity because they're cute with bouncy, shallow pop that appeals to the younger female fans when that really isn't the case.
    They have been singing and rapping about real shit since their debut... Without explanations like this, many people wouldn't give them the time of day and BTS would continue to be written off as a fleeting trend that will fizzle out in a year or two. Which is hilarious because people have been claiming that they would fizzle out since 2013.

  • @marar8045
    @marar8045 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    They used to react to their haters with their songs (especially their rap songs). The entire Cypher series (1-4) was like that. Some Cyphers, like 2, were dedicated to specific haters. Others were to haters in general. Ddaeng was a magnificent diss track, which also has an explainer video because that song has more meanings than bars. Their last diss track was Mic Drop, which has an MV and an English (well mostly English) version with Steve Aoki. RM explained that song would be the last one where he’d bother to say anything to the haters, and the song says it that it’s their last resort and it’s called Mic Drop after all. They didn’t stop making rap songs, they made Outro: Tear which is fire, however it’s not a diss track at all. Now UGH, as you saw, was not really a diss track, so they haven’t gone against their word.
    BTS has very deep lyrics and they make stories with their albums. To get the full meaning of a song, one should listen to the whole album in order, because they’re made to connect and tell a story. This is particularly true for Love Yourself: Answer, and Map of the Soul: 7.

    yes bts has been dealing with a ton of hate ever since they debuted. when you listen to the rapline songs in order you notice how angry and how much they dissed their haters back then to now not giving a fuck and telling them to “love themselves” because they feel that sorry for them. Their character growth and their actually rapping skills gradually improve over time and it’s amazing to see

    Great video my man. Good stuff. Trash talk that comes from the "keyboard warrior" haters stems from Ignorance, Envy, Jealousy, Fear & Spite towards individuals who have something they personally don't have. And that's usually Talent, Popularity, Accolades & Recognition for their ability & accomplishments. They have NOTHING so they feel the need to attack people who have SOMETHING. Keep up the Peace, Love & Positivity brother. The world desperately needs it.

      Thanks for that! The first couple reactions i did regarding BTS, i had subtitles so i could have only react to the sound, the visuals and their flow. Which, I found entertaining so im expressing that through smiling and laughter (remember i cant catch the full content in one listen and the subtitles are going really fasy) lol. Im a music head and get excited for flows and rhyme schemes (hence the reason i smile and laugh) i find it amusing. I dont listen to music for just the content. I listen to music for the metaphors, flow patterns, amount of flow switch, double and triple entendre, cadence, rhyme schemes, and also the content. Those things catches my interest and makes me laugh and smile how clever these things can be. This reaction..was a break down of the reason behind the song...and the metaphorical and double entendre of their lyrics in english. So i was able to digest it better. Smiling and laughing does not diminish seriousness. I find the art of music amusing and entertaining. Laughing and smiling means im enjoying the music...if i dont laugh and smile i wont dig deeper into the music. Plus, i react to whatever i like...so nobody can influence me to stop reacting to something that i have an interest for lol 🐺 More BTS content coming soon

    *Ddaeng* is another rap line song, like *UGH!,* but *Baepsae* involves all the members.
    Neither song has an official MV, so I'd also suggest watching the lyric videos, as well as for *Ddaeng,* the *Prom Party Unit Stage* video, and for *Baepsae,* the dance practice video. Both can be found on their channel *BANGTANTV* and shouldn't be a problem to use for a reaction video.
    Thanks for an awesome reaction!

  • @Boonvillegal

    Loved your reaction!! I personally think BTS still cares about hate & negativity they get, but instead they try to focus on their mission: protect, enlighten & encourage passion & dreams within the youth in our world. If they focus on that, then they can persist & not be weighed down by haters. The evolution of their Cypher series will show how much they cared initially about negativity/hate. By the last Cypher, their message had shifted: I know & trust myself, you should work on loving yourself. Amazing role models.

  • @GabrieleJackson

    The best way to experience BTS, song first, then catch the lyrics and 3rd enjoy the MV if there is one. All 3 are masterful artistry. BTS is on the top world wide with a huge, devoted and loving fan base. There are in their 7th year since debut. All 7 members trained for 3 years as a team to be successful and it shows. Korean is a lovely language and these songs would less good if they were, say, in english. Just flow with it. It's a beautiful journey. At some point they even got death threats and comments targeting a specific member telling them to leave the group or that they dont deserve to be with the others and were drugging them down etc. So much hate and comments judging everything from their skills to their physical appearance...im glad they had each other to get through those hard times and still do. Thats their most precious characteristic. As you get to know them more you ll realise that their bond is as great as the music they make.

    Really enjoyed the reaction video, especially your positive attitude and open mind for trying to really figure out what BTS is saying. (It says a lot about a person when they're willing to go beyond language and cultural barriers to really understand something.) If you like their political stuff, you might take a dive into N.O or Baepsae. Keep it up! (46yo Baby ARMY here.)

    the anger that was expressed towards dkdktv was not frivolous. the second part of that duo, danny, on tape admitted he pandered to Army just for the views, (you should watch that video there was more to it), then when he was called on it, he flat out told ppl to fo. dkdktv was ignored for a long time. This man, poor David was left to try and fix a mess danny did, and ( he himself had nothing to do with it )try to save the podcast. David is the more intellectual, savvy, and articulate of the two. He now has a podcast "Just David" which is actually much better, but lately, you see danny trying to sneak back in. I just ignore those. I'm disappointed having said those things about David to see he is trying to minimize it by linking it to this video. Don't backpedal David, you will cancel out all the apologizing you did for danny. Having said that, thank you so much for taking your time and reacting to this video and I agree with you, I still need to watch the vid a bit, and thank you for airing the explanation. I don't want to miss out understanding the cultural references, I guess we don't realize how much of cultural heritage we all use in our communication with each other. Common references and experiences to enrich a song. So much more than words, it provides context and substance. Oh lol and I'm an older Army as well. im 58

    Despite the songs message there are still people who disliked this video; I bet they didn't actually watch the video. I've noticed there are always around 50 dislikes in every BTS video so I'm pretty sure they just click to show BTS hate...little do they realize, they are still counted as a view so they are doing more harm to themselves than if they would just ignore BTS videos entirely. I wish haters would just stop being negative, your opinion about BTS, ARMYs and reactors/people trying to learn about BTS doesn't matter! Take all your energy and go solve a real problem in the world like child abuse, domestic violence, hunger, homelessness, rape, etc....honestly, there are more important things to hate than a talented group of young musicians who are actually trying to spread positive messages around the world through their music, dance and performances. PEACE!

    Wow, you’re amazing.. thank you so much for paying such close attention to the meaning of their lyrics and actually caring about it. BTS fans KNOW how deep their songs are and how life changing their messages can be for others. Outsiders don’t usually take the time to understand why BTS is so popular and diminish their talent.
    I know you’re probably getting loads of requests but there’s a video that’s super important to learn about the struggles BTS faced to get where they are now. They really did suffer a lot. I hope you’ll react to it. It’s called “BTS From Nobodies to Legends 2019” by xceleste
    You’ll learn a lot about BTS in that video and others.. to learn about BTS members individually and their talents, you can watch Who is BTS? The seven members of bangtan by suga & spice

    Hi, loved your reaction and I loved that you get what they are saying. You’re right there is nothing basic about bts except for the hate they get from basic people. It’s not common to see artist becoming so successful using only positivity and meaningful lyrics. However, don’t think they are always serious, they have fun and they are so respectful to everyone they meet. I am so proud to be their fan, even though some want me to feel ashamed that I love bts. You have to listen deeply to bts’s words and have that inner strength that bts encourages sometimes to be a proud fan because while millions love bts plenty hate them, or have a lack of respect for them and their Army! Thank you for not being typical and thank you for respecting bts’s hard work and the love their fans have for them! I appreciate that!💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 You nice, keep going! Please react to the Bts from nobodies to legends 2019, the bts crash course video and The Who is bts video! Stay safe, stay home, and stay healthy!

    Yeah, BTS used to mind the haters that majorly came from kpop fandoms that's why ARMY keep saying "We don't like Kpop, only BTS" cause a certain fandom even trend a hate hashtags on twitter and other kpop fandoms joined the bandwagon, and BTS even saw it after their concert... That was the time where ARMY are still few and BTS have still little achievements abroad. Kpop fandom are even so brave to mentioned BTS and ARMY every single day with their tweet just hate and they used the word D*ath and D*e so lightly like they just mentioned the weather. We even got so many degrading nicknames from them... But ever since BTS won awards abroad, they get a lot more fans abroad too and lots of them are twitter warriors who could shoot where it hurts and they still have in their arsenal, and since then Kpop fandom are now afraid to mention any of these alphabets *BTS ARMY* sure we still got a lot of hate but they now not dare mention any names, even the mean nicknames they call us, we also embraced it and make it ours as inside jokes and we even used it to mocked kpop fandom back who hated us before... We learned to fight back because of BTS lyrics and BTS achievements (specially the trophies in their bag 😏)... That's why BTS can now don't need to give a d*mn about haters because we can now pend for ourselves and BTS keep getting rich and keep winning and ARMY is getting stronger every Comebacks so haters can bark all they want but we still winning and that's all matters...
    Ps: I hope my word make sense, multilingual struggle you know 😅

    Actually, technically BTS was manufactured. They auditioned individually for their company and the company, bighit, put the group together. The founding member, RM, has an iq of 148, he's the one saying anger is being wasted, it won't kill them cuz they're used to stepping in shit. BTS has several songwriters in the group but RM has written the most.

      @@WolfReactsTV Speaking of dope, they also have a song called "Dope", there's an MV. It was created after they were accused of plagiarism of "concept" because of some petty things like similar hairstyles or outfits. @@aarceeandtannies2217 So are you saying the boys met before they were signed/brought in as trainees? I'm pretty sure/100% sure they all met through the company and the company had final say in who the members would be. The company chose their concept/look/content. So in that case manufactured is an accurate word to use. Did BigHit strike gold putting these amazing artists together? Hell yes. Is BTS a group of guys who met organically out in the free world? No, manufactured isn't an insult fam. Just facts.

    • @aarceeandtannies2217
      @aarceeandtannies2217 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@WatchMeWakeU111111 Thank you for that insight. I actually regretted commenting this 😂 coz not long after commenting to you I realized from other sources that "manufactured" does not necessary mean the group was just spoonfed with songs by the agency. They did not meet by themselves, but was chosen and being formed by an agency through scouting and auditions - and that's what you meant by "manufactured". But for me, it truly kinda hurts if they were called "manufactured" (tho its just a term, not an insult), cause it makes them look like some sort of "goods" (tho in a way they are, because its still business) which is something dehumanizing for me. It's just a very very sad term (at least for me).
