Maps of the Soul: 7 (MOTS:7) is based off Carl’s Jung book of the same name. BTS always has very intellectual lyrics and a lot of symbolism in their MV. There’s also an alternate universe (Bangtan Universe) that runs throughout all of BTS MV. ARMY knows this and are always on the lookout for Easter eggs in all BTS content.

    "That's dope!" 😁😂💜
Yes, BTS got a song called *DOPE* , which also has an official MV. Just turn on CC for English lyrics.
After you watch that MV and say it's fire 🔥...yes, BTS also has a song called *FIRE* ...also cc for English lyrics.
Now after watching both videos and you say "Please save me from all this amazing content!" Yes, definitely check out *SAVE ME* by BTS and yes there's an official MV for it. You might wanna check out the behind-the-scenes making of this MV because it was done in one shot, one take. It was cold/windy/rainy during the shoot, but they managed to pull through and give us an awesome MV.
Welcome to BTS x BigHit x ARMY global family!! They also have solo songs from their past album series. I'll give you the list of songs if you're interested. 😁👍💜

I wanted to comment on something about the explained video. In the lyrics they say, "Gotta go insane to stay sane." and people were theorizing about what that meant. Actually, RM himself answered that in his album behind. After every album drops, he goes live to explain the behind the scenes of the album making. This was one line he had a lot of thoughts about himself, as he wrote it.
I can't remember his exact wording, but he basically said that you have to allow yourself a little insanity in life. You have to have something that you allow yourself to go insane over, in order to stay sane the rest of the time. If you don't blow off that steam in one aspect it would flow over into every other aspect of your life.

Best thing I heard "I love psychology "...welp my friend, BTS is full of it. BTS is nothing short of lyrical geniuses, while speaking of real life and situations for them and listeners to grow and develop as a person. Its unfortunate people will pass over them due to language barriers and "titles" but they could just be one of the greatest things we've been lucky to see. Cant wait to see your journey. 💜

If you like psychology, all of the songs on Map of the Soul 7 deal with Car Jung but you will probably prefer the rap line’s trilogy of Persona, Shadow, and then Ego. You should also check out DDEANG and Baepsae with their DKDKTV explainers and Mic Drop Steve Aoki remix is just in general a hype video that can’t be missed. Also if you like ON watch the kinetic manifesto film that came out before this MV it is literally life changing in terms of performance!

As I mentioned before, RM the tall blonde guy that says he "Fly together with the black wind" Has an IQ of 148. He reads a lot and Jungian psychology is very popular in Korea. When they refer to their journey, they are talking about the last 7 years as K-Pop idols. It is a very demanding lifestyle and especially in the case of BTS who have done things no other K-Pop group has accomplished, every aspect and moment, day and night, their life is strictly controlled. This is because in Korea K-Pop idols are perceived to be the property of their fans. Not allowed to date, have their own social media accounts, or in some cases, not even allowed to have a private cell phone. This is because the 3 major music talent companies, bighit was not one of the big 3 at the time of BTS's debut, put such rules into their contracts, avoiding behavior or circumstances that may create scandal is of paramount importance because of the conservative social morays of the Korean society. If you check out Interlude: Shadow from the same album 7 Suga's rap is about the intense pressure fame has put upon the members. So when they say they have to be insane to stay sane they are saying, "Hey we are sane people dealing with insane circumstances so we have to get a little insane ourselves." Suga wrote a poem in, i think, 2017 or 18 about how as the light on them gets more intense their shadows become darker. IMO both Suga and RM are geniuses. Both of them have the ability to translate their experiences into lyrical metaphors that communicate the struggle they have all been going through to come to terms with the limitations placed on their personal lives due to their world wide fame. They can't even blink their eyes without it being scrutinized by millions of people, I mean this literally. Fortunately BTS recently negotiated a new contract with bighit when their first 7 year contract expired and due to their incredible success, were able to garner a deal far more in their favor with more time off and a bigger cut of the profits. Initial contracts for idol groups generally give 60-70% of profits to the company and of the 30% left for the artists, they are required to reimburse the company the costs of developing the group. It is not uncommon for idols to remain in debt to their agencies even after their initial contract expires depending on the success of their group. Sorry for going on so long. Obviously I have a lot of info about this whole idol system, but I'll end by saying BTS is shaking this system up. bighit is not the same way as the other big 3 companies. They treat their artists more fairly and allow them more freedom. A model that has brought bighit and their artists fantastic success.

Yes the multitalented, multidimensional & intellectual aspects of the BTS are reasons why they attract the most diverse & brilliant people of the world as fans - their ARMY. This is also why ARMY gets upset when BTS is dismissed by the press as just another “boy band” with rabid 12 yo girl fans. Well I know of no other artists on this planet who have BTS originality & depth & our ARMY ranges in age from toddlers to seniors of all races, cultures & gender identities & every ARMY whether 12yo or 58yo like me can outthink others because BTS has taught us to open our minds & hearts & to look beyond the obvious & discover the universe within & learn from hardships & happiness & how to love ourselves & care about each other.
BTS are true artists who have & are changing the world one person at a time. BTS + ARMY = Evolution, true love & mutual admiration 💜😌

Here is a priest with a theory on the drums th-cam.com/video/UFwfTaMXEAo/w-d-xo.html
Two of my favorite songs from BTS are:
*Ddaeng* rap line song and I recommend you check out the color coded lyricvid and then DKDKTV
*Baepsae* (Crow Tit/Try-Hard/Silver Spoon) Song with all members. Same here, no MV but color coded lyric vid and then DKDKTV. Baepsae = Crowtit wich is a type of small bird.
Those two aren't jungian psychology but I think you love to hear the explanations and Ddaeng is such a great and unique rap song. RMs verse is amazing.
*Idol* not a song that I find myself listening to and I think most people when first hearing it and watching the MV will just see it as a fun k-pop song with a crazy colorful MV but ofcourse it's not, so check out the MV and then DKDKTV.
I know DKDKTV didn't talk about everything in the MV that I know are in there for a reason like the glasses V are wearing and why it's Jin who sings a specific line of the lyrics etc. I'm sure someone else knows what more explanation vid you should check out other then DKDKTVs.
So even though it's not a song I have on a playlist and listen to because of my personal preference in music it's a really good song and production and MV, and AMAZING when you get the lyrics and MV explained.
I love to have found someone who like the explanations by DKDKTV as much as me.
Oh and there is a song called *Spring Day* that also is much deeper then you first think and so is the MV. Watch the MV and then (not DKDKTV) this vid:
*BTS Spring Day MV EXPLAINED | Sewol Ferry, Snowpiercer & Survivors* by bulletproof vibes

BEFORE watching more I would recommend you do all of these 4 getting-to-know BTS reactions and learn about them, what they gone through and how they started out. Their lyrics will make much more sense after and I really think you will enjoy watching these.
First video is long and you should pause it to so it usually makes up to 40-50 min reaction video but people watch it as long as you watch the whole video and really pay attention and read and listen to everything that is said (don't look in the camera or talk and stuff without pausing then they get mad) and you will get more subs mostly army (a warning: some are real crazies too, I read the fan base is over 24 million now, so not surprising).
First one is a bit outdated (keep that in mind) but still the best introduction to start with, don't skip it.
Just pause and read in all of the videos so you don't miss stuff. I recommend you do them in this order:

@@WolfReactsTV *Edit* Haven't slept in like 36 hours sorry for the messy answer.
I just realised that to get Ddaeng you really should atleast react the _Who is BTS?_ (that bring in subs to) first and (but not as important) also the Hardship one, if you don't feel like doing all 4.
And you should react to Cypher 1-4 first to and Mic Drop and then Ddaeng if you want to get them in order 'cause they kind of all are in the Cypher series and you can see them evolve throu them all how they respond to the haters etc.
I guess UGH! could be seen as the latest and as you know DKDKTV explained that now BTS just don't care about the losers.
But knowing who they adress and knowing the members and where they come from and whats been said etc make the songs 100 times better then just understanding they respond to some kind of hate.
But you relly don't have to do them in order or learn about BTS now. Do what you like! Do you, otherwise it will just be fake. Sorry I just love hearing them responding to hate knowing _what_ they respond to, I think it's so much more fun. Like understanding the main components of Jung's theory makes ON so much better. *edit over*
Hope you find it interesting but if you don't there is lots more. yeah DKDKTV was what I watched.
But the 4 vids getting to know them that I recommended gives a lot of explanation too many many of their songs since many of them are aimed at haters or the fact they made it though they came from a small company etc and Ddaeng is one you get really understand after watching those vids and same goes for the cyphers, Mic Drop, Idol, UGH! and many many more.
I just find it more fun and interesting the more I know about them, just like the explanations from DKDKTV makes the songs go from a good song to.. well you know.
