I didn’t realize that Wilcox Lake had Pumpkinseed, Black Crappie, Rock Bass, Largemouth, Smallmouth, and Pike. Quite the variety of fish for a small kettle Lake.

There's definitely some carp and bowfin as well. I just haven't been able to catch one of those. Lord knows what lurks in the middle sections.

@@LadybugAdventures Since I work in Richmond Hill I’m going to check it out. I’ve been there a couple times fishing from shore and got skunked as there are not many places to cast from. Hopefully ice fishing will be a lot more fun.

Thanks! You'll have a ton of fun fishing on your paddle board. I made a little video of how I set mine up for fishing. I don't put a big cooler or anything like that on it. I personally keep it quite simple. Here it is if you want to check it out. th-cam.com/video/ExXWFXyzbGo/w-d-xo.html

The problem is not “over fishing”, the problem is people KEEPING the fish. We’ve all seen those idiots who go to places like this with buckets. They ruin spots.

I may do some short ones in the future. I just didn't like the negativity that comes along with those types of videos. If I catch interesting things I'll post them for sure.

Ohhh man nice pike! how did you like the fight? pretty intense right? I like using long pliers on pike, been too close to the teeth one too many times.

Incredible fight. Ive seen so many videos on how to handle them but still got cut when it thrashed around. I'll have a very healthy fear of them from now on. I'm going to post a catfish I caught. Do you think you'd be able to identify it for me?

I dont think it could be privatized.
The north & east side belong to the city. You can alway launch a kayak/canoe near the north corner, and fish off the docks.
Best part, with a Gopro mounted to your chest, you can always report the Karens if they harass you.

Believe me, I hope you’re right! I find that politicians get way too excited when it comes to developing and revenue.

it's another one of those "resident only " lakes,, shitty place no where to fish from shore and even though there are streets that end on the lake shore they still have fences and posted signs of how you can not tresspass (as if anyone owns that piece) and how its only for residents lmao

    • @LadybugAdventures

@@LadybugAdventures idk if any other shore fishermen care or have noticed any of this shit go under there nose but it has become nasty and criminal the way these towns have been allowed to take over bodies of water and the dirty gov does nothing for joe blow tax payer, bastards wont let you park near the lake anymore and hit you with tickets even disabled ppl with permits like me nor allow you to fish from any boat ramps and i can not find places to fish from shore all private, they dont care and you have to be 1 km away from the lake (simcoe) ,,its become a headache planing my fishing trips now and i have to sneak into marinas or find the remote spots where im not hassled to park or just to throw line in the water

@@ARCSTREAMS simcoe is a great example. Huge lake but limited access because of private property and very expensive parking.

@@ARCSTREAMS To be fair, I think it is the result of decades of disrespectful anglers. I’ve seen the garbage left behind near Simcoe, Holland Marsh, Couchiching, Rouge River amongst others. I’m not surprised one bit, these places don’t want their waterways to become like the Don River.

@@LadybugAdventures yes it is big lake and one of the very few bodies of water i have to go fishing but like i said they are a pain in the ass and make it almost impossible for visitors to fish specially west side innisfil ,some other areas i was kinda able to fins some spots and there is barrie marina that is pretty good too but yeah private property or business everywhere and i do not want to spend money on parking lots specially as most of them are too far from the lake shore and why should i spend more money? im already in the hole for gas, food, tackle etc it's not right that the provincial gov does not keep open spaces for public fishing ,i have to find these hidden spots or sneak into marinas after hours ,like mission impossible every time ,i keep scouting for spots on google map and the most far im willing to go is like an hour so im limited to what areas on simcoe or other places i go to
