One thing about both protocols is that per Cisco guidelines, you will want to enable the protocol(s) on a per-interface basis to reduce your vulnerability footprint (this is briefly gone over in the video); disable CDP globally and only enable CDP (or LLDP) on each interface.

I have the problem, that LLDP as well as CDP only show switches in the neighbour list. I also have some normal hosts connected, but they just don´t show up. Do you know whats the problem?
