This channel is primarily dedicated to CIG ( Cloud Imperium Games ) and the games Star Citizen and Squadron 42 for PC. Perhaps maybe touching on related space and sim titles as well as a look at some hardware such as flight sticks and throttles ( HOTAS HOSAS).
Star Citizen is available only through the RSI (Robert Space Industries) web store and cannot be found on either Steam or Epic.
This channel will look to provide insight on what are the best ships to buy for what price, in our comparison series. And maybe some single ship reviews down the road such as the 400i and 600i. If you need help at all just ask, even its about what is on sale on the grey / gray market.
The RSI shop can be complicated at times and there are options to apply coupons, store credit, get refunds. There are also ways to upgrade your ships through what's called CCU chains. Not to mention the starter ships and packages and pledges, subscriptions, uec credits and accounts so feel free to ask any questions as its easy to lose your head.
As time goes by we'll likely see bigger ships like the RSI Polaris, the Kraken and Pioneer come into the game where hopefully we will be able to set up a small org of like minded channel regulars to forge a patch into the verse.

Not sure if it can fit a ballista in the cargo bay, not that its not tall enough... its the clearance on the doors. No ballista or nova tonk :(

Now i am looking forward to taking out mine from the Hangar & going on a solo trade run. Its unreasonable, unsafe & very stupid. BUT i will make it work regardless!! :D
Main thing I’m excited about is seeing how much large ship design has evolved. If the Zeus is any indication of how efficient with space the design team has become, this is going to be great.
gotta remember that the Zeus is the first peak we get at the new and improved RSI design language. The Polaris is RSI, so we can in theory expect to see a very similar consideration for space, and design. JUST MAKE SURE THE CARGO RAMP CAN HOLD A SPARTAN... we dont need another "Ursa" incident...

My original thought is to use the hanger for a C8x + Scorpius for away missions, however if the Zeus MR fits, that would be one hell of a 'runabout' for the Polaris.

Lock the doors to the hangar, vent to outer space. That's how you deal with undesirables. Would need CIG to implement it, but whatever. What also would help is a small remote turret on the inside.

I am a Perseus fan boy. I am of the opinion that guns are better than missiles / torpedoes. You can spoof and shoot down missiles, but not incoming high-calibre shells which will rip apart your hull. For carrying my ships (and others in my ORG), I picked up a Liberator.
But then I see the Polaris grow. Not just in hangar size, but also weapons and capabilities. It could hit enemy ships with guns, torpedoes and launch 2 fighters to fight against other fighters or incoming torpedoes. And then we got CIWS!! So ... I now have 2 big Space Doritos :P
Lol. yeah ngl the only thing i was little dissapointed with is that tiny missle turret on the back. Oh and the not collapsing table in the mess, which I forgot to mention.
It would be nice if the Perseus became a Cap ship in it's development. No hangar, etc, just capital components and up-gun the turrets.
Polaris is exciting, but I'll never get one. I like small crews or solo. BUT should you ever need a cook for the messhall and allround engineer, I'll take a modest 1 scu of destilled spirits as payment. I'll even make sure to keep the brigs fed with stale bread and brackish water.

Thx pal for an amazing insight to the Polaris. Im hearing a lot of chat about it recently and being sort of fairly new to SC videos like this one help me very much to understand why. Size of the Polaris always bafles me, its so damn much big. Love seeing it in the verse, and am always in awe whenever i manage to get close to it. And then you see that comparison chart of the Bengal being 3x the size and my brain just stops computing 😅
Polaris is 168m long for now, Idris is 242m, Javelin 375m if i remember right and Bengal is around a kilometer (1000m)
If the bengal appears in the game someday i don't know what it would take to destroy it, that thing holds hammerheads in his hangar, literally and also have a second deck on the top like a real aircraft carrier
been discussing a head to head with an idris, with some friends and the consensus that we reached was, if both ships are fully crewed the idris wins 8-9/10 engagements. that being said there's gonna be a lot of balancing post release but that (imo) seems like good numbers as a hit and run type capital ship with the ability to hold its own against multiple non capital class ships

For defense against hostiles in the hanger you could simply lock those large doors to the interior so their only option would result in harming themselves, and hopefully before breaking in or hacking could take place you already tractor beamed out the garbage with a turret inside intended to assist ships with a little thruster damage or something lol.
I've been eyeing the BMM for a few years now, but with all this teased content for the Polaris, its making me wonder what my end goal big ship will be. I can't possibly dream of owning more than one cap ship, so it is a really hard choice.
I would expect earning a BMM in game to be very challenging. I imagine you would have to befriend a Banu clan and earn enough reputation before they’ll sell to you. And if their leader dies the Clan is effectively disbanded and the remaining survivors would start a new clan, reseting your rep.
Polaris will likely also have some sort of reputation grind as well, but won’t reset if say the RSI Dealership owner dies.
I own 3 Cap ships with the BMM being one of them, the Polaris and the Orion on its own account. My Polaris will help protect them while they help me buy the Kraken and Pioneer in game.

I’m pretty hyped for the Polaris. More hyped for some fucking stability, and Pyro but definitely hyped.
You heard the bespoke size 6 chin turret from a recent leak. The same leak mentions 2 quad size 4's on top, 2 quad size 3's on the sides, a quad size 3 to the rear, and a missile turret with 12 size 2 missiles. Assuming the leak is true, and I really hope it is, that seems like more than adequate firepower for a ship this size, do kinda hope they dont go with the size 6's being bespoke though. I like having options.

@@Towndrunk there's a bind called ..... Damn it's gone.....something like reconfigure ship or flight surfaces maybe. 🤣 Should be there next to landing gear and stuff I think.
A Kraken w/ fighter wing, Polaris, two Hammerheads, two Perseus and a mixed wing of Vanguards would be quite the fleet for any org. Then throw in a Javelin or Idris. Man, I don't even know how many people you would need to man that fleet. Probably all 100 people on a server right now. Nah, that probably wouldn't be enough.

So, the Polaris is up on Erkul. The Torpedoes do 750k damage. The 890J is doomed.
Ships are in no way more important to me than FPS and server performance.

This looks like it would be fun to go after with a taskforce of a light carrier, fighters (obviously), a corvette or three, and a missile boat or two. You might stand a chance of taking it down with that. You could hurt it with less, but I think a combined taskforce approach is the only real chance to blow it up. The new mission "Save Stanton" is will be very entertaining.
If you plan on being a filling and repair station, you might want a Vulcan or a Starfarer Gemini. You can RRR with those without having them land a ship in your hangar or cargo bay.
