I have a little theory about the magical potion. Its because often, when they showcase the "next movie"'s effects, Asterix always seem to have the most powerful effect of them all. I think it's because the potion effect people differently, and everyone has deterrent potential. It also ties in why Asterix is called the best worrier, or in my language, the hero of the village. Natrually, because the potion affect him more. He seemed especially scary when he wants to free some friends from the Romans. And Btw, thanks for the super-cuts. But I would've liked it if there was just a little context to it, like him drinking it ;)
1:30-2:00 all the reactions to the potions in MOTG (Minus Obilix): The celopatra callback, the Swole, the fishchuckes, The takeoff, the lyre, The lyre part 2, the nuke and the Zelda Chicken
That was the weirdest mix between more "realistic" drawing and cartoon style in the same movie. Still somehow worked. But that means Tragicomix' reaction to the potion was rather realistic and uninteresting compared to the cartoon figures reaction, honestly.
Another missing moment from Asterix Versus Caesar is when Asterix takes a sip of the potion on the march to Massilia to have the strenght to carry everyone's bags.

They are still making movies they just came out with one recently and it’s available on Netflix. The bande dessiné is still getting new stories as well. Astérix and Obélix will always be popular in French countries and part of “witty” “clever” french media. It’s quasi impossible to translate the jokes as most of them are play on word puns. Many of the animated movies are translated but really lack the same punch. I agree I wish it could get more popular although it is technically known worldwide for decades but they know their niche and focus on this specifically
0:44 i love how at one of the frames, Idefix turns into Obelix for a moment
Just before the black eyes appears

Maybe that's why Obelix became permanently strong after falling into the potion as a kid.

the roman soldier with the roman insigna on the back killed me XD
I'm not photosensitive, but I'm guessing some people can get seizures from the flashing in "Asterix and Cleopatra"
It's nice to see someone concerned tho :)

And don't forget about the part of asterix the secret of the magic potion.

I like how drinking the potion somehow turns Impedimenta into an opera singer.

The frog was the best one.
I dont like the one where he chirps like a bird. Seems less like mighty warrior and more like eating a defective Scooby Snack. Haha XD

when is the Asterix franchise gonna get some attention? 😤
Maybe when this series became more "politically correct" or when USA will accept these mistakes from the past.

@@ayaavalon6213 Would you like to gave "Asterix" an American movie like "The Adventures of Tintin" (2011)?
I'm American and I give it attention. Sadly, most don't follow my example.
