Hope you'll have an amazing time visiting my country, Also I assume your Arrival walk was short hence you didn't show it? I believe you arrived at Gate 115 or 116?
PAL needs to be at Washington Dulles International Airport with the A350, 777-8, or 787-9. I’ve been requesting the IAD non-stop flight on their Facebook page leaving plenty of comments about this route. It would be a non-stop flight between the Philippine capital and the United States capital. This flight would likely have to use the New Manila International Airport, which is slightly shorter in distance than NAIA. Unless other ASEAN-based airlines decide to serve IAD non-stop, NMIA would likely be the furthest non-stop flight serving IAD. If Singapore Airlines wants to go further than JFK for non-stop flights to try to compete against the Heathrow-Sydney non-stop flight A350-1000ULR Qantas flight, they would use IAD as Singapore Airlines is a Star-Alliance airline. If Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok is allowed to resume non-stop US-based flights, Thai Airways would go as far as IAD for non-stop flights. I would also think Vietnam Airlines from Ho Chi Minh City should also serve IAD.
NAIA Terminal 3 is one busy airport terminal, but unfortunately, this year, this airport experiences lack of electric power and it made passengers stuck in the airport. NAIA have new plans for new flights. Recently, a UA flight to San Francisco has been official. Later, NAIA is planning a Qantas flight to Brisbane and a PAL flight to Seattle on October.
I heard that Air France will do a non-stop flight between Paris CDG and Manila. I hope this leads to other airlines and/or Philippine Airlines returning to European airports, most likely starting at Istanbul and Heathrow. I want to see them in Dublin and Stockholm Arlanda.
You should have just walked across the street using the air conditioned elevated pedestrian bridge from the restaurant level (3rd ? ). It can’t be more than a 300 meter walk. You could have saved the taxi fare and time from the crazy traffic around the terminal.
Yes I did that before but the walk to my hotel was far from the foot bridge. Unfortunately there is just not many simple solutions for Manila airport that work. The taxis there are in terrible shape. Literally all the cars the backseats are falling apart
PAL should also return to European airports for non-stop European flights via the New Manila International Airport. I think the furthest European airport PAL would have a non-stop flight is Dublin.
2:05 look at the ceiling... gosh, the biggest and most important international airport in the country but it looks so heartbreaking
