Your playing is wonderful. As a pianist, do you find the action on the MODX 8+ to be satisfactory? I know it's not Yamaha's best... but is it "good enough?'
This board has everything I need for the fraction of the price of others! It’s plastic and has four faders but I mean the Motifs back then had four faders, so I’m used to that! I couldn’t ask for a better keyboard I don’t even use a laptop or any software for sounds all my sounds come directly from the board!!

They are heavy hammer action! They are plastic but it hasn’t really been a problem for me. For the most part this is one of the best keyboards for this price range, so much you can do with it!
lol. contemplating whether to get the modx7+ or the 8+… seen videos etc, but never from this angle. boy, oh boy. that thing is thicc. sweet baby jesus. ok, 7+ it is, lol.
It honestly doesn’t look that bad in person just looks like a modern 88 weighted keyboard. At least it’s not like the Motifs from back then those things were huge. I had the MODX7. It kind of reminded me of a Casio keyboard very slim and lightweight a solid plastic keyboard. It’s much easier to carry around and it’s kind of cool, especially if you get the case that was made specifically for it, that has straps on the back so you can carry it as a backpack. For me personally, I wanted an 88 keyboard and I’m happy with this one. I highly recommend the 88 you can do more and the keys are not bad, the action on them is really good!
@@angelotheepianist thanks for the reply. yeah, it must be a funny angle, like me in a photo taken at an afterparty hahaha. anyways, we never had a keyboard/digital piano with weighted keys so i always wanted one, but then i remembered i always loved the nonweighted feel of our cheapo piaggero, so now im leaning towards semiweighted, which 7+ is. maybe im wrong, though. on the other hand, both 7+ and 8+ look funny with so much free space on top, i wish modx+ had more controls. did you by any change try fantom0 series when shopping? i kinda always wanted montage, but thats too much mulah, so modx was next in line. i love the fact that it has like 10000 arpeggios and what not, has more memory than fantom0 but fantom0 has knobs, sliders, additional set of encoders below the screen, pads, but also 50x less arpeggios (and user can not mod them or create new ones), less memory… so im trying to gather as much info as i can before pulling the trigger. anyways, thanks. subbed. cheers.
@@cordlesswire MODX is another level you can load additional sounds on top of the factory and it’s similar to the MONTAGE. Just the body is plastic and you lose a few buttons and faders and knobs, but other than that the sounds are the same! I’ve tried the Fantom x06 it’s the old fantom. I like it because it has that old school feel, and it came out in the early 2000s when keyboards were being made much better in my opinion! The MOTIF was still being made, along with other flagship keyboards!

So beautiful! Did you do anything to the settings of the pianos? All of mine sound...muffled. The audition sounds fabulous, loud and clear but then when I play it's meh. But yours sounds perfect!

@@AliaksejKa Definitely yes it’s a huge upgrade if you’re coming from a MOTIF! You can do so much on this board, you can layer up to 16 parts! Get a ton of amazing cool sounds plus you can download additional samples that there are so many out there! The key Is if you know what you’re doing in how to edit your sound to make it sound good you got to play around with it!

Hay varios pianos en el MODX. yo lo que hice bajé más en un Flash Drive por ejemplo le agregué el Power Grand del original motif, y bajé sonidos de Korg y Roland incluyendo los sonidos famosos del MKS-20 rack! es como tú combinas los sonidos que va a dar el buen resultado, a mí me gusta pasar horas combinando sonidos hasta que me sale un buen sonido que me gusta luego lo guardo. El modx es un bueno keyboard para combinar sonidos!
