great idea for a video! Some of these games I wasn't sure how much I'd get them played, but if they have a good solo mode then I'll look into them :- ) (for Sky Team, I guess I'll put the "I" back in "Team" if I play it solo)
So far I have resisted buying Sky Team since my wife doesn’t really enjoy cooperative games, but after watching this video I might have to get it. Such a simple solo variant but it would still feel like playing the game. Thanks!
@@boardgamecourt Alas, I have not played it. I played the "full" caverna both solo and multiplayer though. I found the set-up time and admin too taxing for a solo game and was wondering if Cave vs Cave gives a similar experience but with a much less preparation time. On one hand, trying to beat a score seems a bit boring for a solo game but on the other hand...dwarfs :D
Gotcha - no, unfortunately we didn't have the chance to try it solo. It was a borrowed copy! But... we hear that Fields of Arle has a very strong solo mode, if you want something close to Caverna. We agree that the big Caverna is too much work to set-up for solo (or even 2p) - we usually prefer it at 4-5p.

As for other games I love to play solo, I consistently recommend: Anachrony, Gaia Project, Barrage, Teotihuacan, Tawantinsuyu, Black Angel, Paladins of the West Kingdom, and Viscounts of the West Kingdom (Viscounts - especially with the automa and manuscripts), Deep Madness, and This War of Mine (but you need to be in the right mood for it, and it's not a title for everyone).
I recently got First Martians, mostly for solo play. It is unforgiving, it seems, similar to This War of Mine. Maybe at some point I will make a video of multi-player games that play well as solo. The thing is that I avoid doing so for the games that Elena enjoys.

We have indeed tried Caverna Cave vs Cave, but not solo! What is your view on it?
