Apparently its also to do with reduced agricultural run off in the west scotland. In other areas like the east coast scotland, england and wales there is higher farming density and the nitrogen based fertilisers enter the water course and makes the drinking water worse.

Speaking of traveling and doodling - when I was in Japan (and when I have the time and opportunity while travelling in general), one of my favorite things to do has become just sitting in a really striking or peaceful or interesting or whatever place for about 5 minutes and making a short little sketch of the area. Just a super short, imperfect sketch, but it really was a nice way to take in a bit of whatever moment I may be having in a place I'm visiting, and enjoy it as a fleeting little experience. Plus art is cool in being able to translate how you see something onto a page. Either way, highly recommend.
Here's part 2 where we rent a car and drive to the west and north :)

Every video of yours is so relaxing. I hope you’re not sick anymore! I love autumn, but I also just got my first cold the first week that the weather cooled down.
Scotland was never really somewhere I gave too much thought to for a place to visit, but you definitely changed my mind. It looks so beautiful!
Its gooooorgeous and thank you, im feeling much better! I was lucky to catch a cold in a land of tea and sweaters hahaha
Cari filming all the dogs she spotted along the journey is such mood 😂 🐶 (basically “beautiful views, beautiful walk, beautiful food- OMG A DOG)
I'm an Australian now living in Glasgow. I love it here. So much to see and the people are so lovely with an amazing sense of humour.
THE WAY YOU PRONOUNCED GLASGOW, SO PRECIOUS!!!!!! 🥺
🙈🙈🙈
Moving to Edinburgh in a couple of months here, thanks for the video! “Blessed are they who see beautiful things in humble places where other people see nothing” is a great summary of your video.
Glasgow (Glaz-go) is my home and I'm madly in love with the city. You'll learn that nearly everywhere is dug friendly :) Hope you come back sooon!
@Bailey Wilson
'Glescae' for me.
Yay! I'm so glad you're going to the Highlands and Islands! I've lived in Edinburgh and currently in Glasgow so it's nice to see from an outsider's perspective!
I’m from Scotland it’s nice to see our country from an outsiders view 😍 im in Glasgow!
Wow Scotland is dreamy... I'll probably stop everytime for pictures because of how picturesque this place is 🥰🥰🥰
I love your European vlogs! Thanks to you, Scotland is definitely one of my next travel destinations! I can finish my phd thesis with a happy goal like that to cheer me up! Merci Cari!
The Royal Botanic Garden looked amazing! You just made me fall in love with Scotland..
I think that what you will find is that there are more Scottish people living in Glasgow than there are in Edinburgh. That will be why you found more red-heads in Glasgow :-)
Defo! exactly what I was thinking. mainly because am wan ae them x
Historically too, the Edinburgh coast had the same Anglo Saxon invasion as England, besides all those trendy modern migrants.
The only nation in the UK where the capital is not the largest city.
That's because there is a higher population ?!
Rob Fraser Yeah it’s kind of weird isn’t it
I need more of Cari in Europe, no one vlogs like you do, you can always bring life to any place.
Cant wait to travel safely again 🥲🥲🥲
I'm Scottish and live in Glasgow however, watching this vlog has made me determined to go explore more of my mother land! Loved it. Do you remember the area names and streets you visited? Disregarding the castle and old town.
Kalli Lulu Carlie listen to Matt Mcginn- I have seen the highlands, he talks about bein born in the tenements and not seeing up north till he was older
My home country 🏴❤️ so lovely to see someone enjoy it as much as you did
I’ve never seen any pictures/ videos of this country but it’s actually really cute
Its su beautiful, wait until my second scotland vlog it will blow your mind!
Yuki Meko you should look up our history if you don't know about it. We are very proud people 😊😊
Oh, Cari, this vlog is so dreamy and colourful! Your videos are the best way to relax after a long day. You've become my favorite youtuber: your editing style, your vision and the way you pick the backgound music - everything in your videos makes me feel better. I want to say thank you for your work. It's truly an ART.
This makes me wanna go back to Edinburgh and Glasgow in a more summer/fall weather, it was amazing in winter but still it's just so perfect
I wasn’t expecting autumn to be there already and it was the best surprise ever!!
Loved this video!!! Felt like I was there with you all. Been dreaming of visiting Scotland since my youth when I lived in Canada where many buildings and people origins were from Scotland
Hi I'm from Glasgow and see these places on a daily basis ( I run round most of them for training runs) Kelvin grove park is one of my favourite places and the people's palace is so full of Glasgow nostalgia I love going there ...your video was great...👍👍👍x
I have been a big fan of your channel for a while now, but I just wanted to extend a long overdue “thank you” for keeping me company while I lesson plan each week. Your content is always so visually appealing, and the music you choose is so good!
I saw you on Buchanan Street when you were in Glasgow! Was very excited to see you enjoying Scotland x
Lorna Allan omg it’s so weird tht she was so near where I live 😂😂
Looks like you guys had an awesome and action packed visit! It's always great to see videos on our beautiful country!
Looking forward to seeing what else you got up to with your time here.
Scotland is soo beautiful and your vlog captures their beauty and spirit. Thank you for sharing

Wow! Edinburgh looked beautiful!! That kitty peeking through the window though...too cute! 😺

Scotland must regularly have the right ratio of sun, clouds, and water drops for its bows from rain! 🌈
It does! We saw so many!

Ah, my home city! If anyone needs a free tour guide then Scotland is always happy to have anyone 😊❤
“I can’t get enough of it, I love it so much, I will move here” That’s sooo me! 😂 😂 and I haven’t even been to Scotland yet! ❤️🏴
My husband and I were there this past June, we rented a car and drove around the country and LOVED it. I just adore the landscape there. Isle of Skye was my husband’s favorite place. I can’t pick a favorite.
Loch lomond is so nice
It’s been 2 years since I left the UK, and this vid makes me miss it soooo much. Nice footage!
Hope you can visit again soon!
We love it there. Been to Scotland twice during the summer time. Can’t wait to go back. Already making plans.
Thanks for the memories - went to school in Edinburgh and uni in Glasgow. It's been too long...
me too!
Love this intro song!
I stayed in Leith while honeymooning in Edinburgh. It was such a pleasure to visit and wander through the city on our way back to the lighthouse AirBnB in Leith. Your video reminds me of my time there just wandering and getting lost with my husband. Gorgeous!
Hi, do you know wich song is it?
Thoroughly enjoyed the vlog - props to the mad amount of editing that went into it!
You are right about Edinburgh being absolutely breathtaking.
It's oozing Hogwarts from every cobblestone.
Thank you so much! And omg yes a hogwarts dream!!
Maybe if there will be a new harry Potter movie you can be part of the cast maybe. ;) 😉
rewatching this while planning my own first trip to Scotland this summer!!!!!!!
I clicked so quickly. I live just outside Edinburgh
JEALOUS

Saw this in my recommended and I want to cry. I visited Edinburgh late September for 2 weeks and it was my first longest solo trip I took. It was such a wonderful time and seeing your video makes me so nostalgic!

So cool I’m from Glasgow Scotland and it’s lovely to see vlogs done on my home town
I moved up to Glasgow from England about 5 months ago. I love the city, love the people. The only regret that I have is that I didn't move up here years ago.
Ellie Bond that’s really great to hear, I’m so proud of my city
I’m staying in the Western Isles, and I’m thinking of coming to Glasgow for a day trip, where abouts would you recommend to visit?
@@sophiemorrison7658 How long do you plan to stay in Glasgow?
Shannon, just for a day or so
Love the video. The songs, the places, your voice, that two cute front teeth and how you talk and describe things :). Thank you. A real good way to start my day away from home.
I used to live in Scotland, seeing this made me miss it so much ✨
I already want to go back hahaha
I have lived in Glasgow my whole life apart from the past 2 years where I have lived in Edinburgh for university and I loved this vlog. You really did my cities justice, thank you :)

Best baked potato shop on earth. I used to get my lunch there every day when i worked in the Pasta reataurant on the corner at the traffic lights. Amazing video. So glad you had such fun in both my home cities. 🏴
It was so cool seeing all the places I’ve been
Speaking of traveling and doodling - when I was in Japan (and when I have the time and opportunity while travelling in general), one of my favorite things to do has become just sitting in a really striking or peaceful or interesting or whatever place for about 5 minutes and making a short little sketch of the area. Just a super short, imperfect sketch, but it really was a nice way to take in a bit of whatever moment I may be having in a place I'm visiting, and enjoy it as a fleeting little experience. Plus art is cool in being able to translate how you see something onto a page. Either way, highly recommend.
Love Scotland such a nice place and friendly locals
