Wonderful tutorial, thank you so much! I'm about to make this with jumbo yarn and my hands as makeshift hooks. I have no idea how big the heart's going to end up, but I'm excited to find out >:)
@@YarnAndy Absolutely, will do! I just did a smaller-scale test heart and, while it's beautiful, I think I'll get a jumbo hook for the real one, haha. My hands are so cramped!
It's not that easy, you will need to figure out the stitch counts to place the main decreases right in the middle on both sides. It can be done, but you'll need to write out your stitch counts first.
@@YarnAndy wow, thank you so much for the fast response!!! I just started crocheting two weeks ago so I will try my best to free style it while still following your tutorial for general guidance. Thanks again and loved your video!
@@rebeccacawley9501 if you just started crocheting, maybe make the regular one first, then some other items with shaping (I have a few more patterns with shaping) and once you are comfortable with the way the numbers translate into stitches and the way they lean, try a symmetrical one based on this or maybe find a pattern for a symmetrical heart, I know there are many out there.
You could use the blanket yarn with a bigger hook (I don't know the size because I've never used that kind of yarn), you could double up this kind of yarn and use a bigger hook (6-7 mm), or you can adjust the number of stitches. Adjusting takes a lot of trial and error. You need to add more increase rows and more even rows to the cups and more decrease rows to the bottom part, while keeping the shape. Then you'd end up with a completely different pattern.
I’m making one right now and your pattern is so easy to follow!! Thanks!!
Thank you! Enjoy 💜
I loved this tutorial! You make it so easy to follow, thanks!
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it ❤️
Thank you this is the easiest magic circle I’ve found yet 🤩🥳🤗 so excited
That's awesome! I've also been confused by how complicated some people make it when it's only a loop 😅
thanks for sharing this. I'm going to try this
Enjoy!
Loved the heart...made a super cute one...❤️

@@ellierenae8620 sounds like a good plan! Arm knitting is a thing, but arm crochet is another beast altogether.
If I want to make it symmetrical, do I just repeat the stitching for the other side?
