Really love when fluid techniques are used and they still look like something recognizable. Love the mixed fluid techniques in this.

I echo Terry's comment above - I really appreciate hearing your dialogue about what you are trying to achieve, what your planning is, how you adapt when things turn out differently - learning so much from you!
And I love how the turtle stands out from the background :D

Very well done 👍
The water part is extremely beautiful and natural with an excellent choice of colours and a very good layering of the colours ❤
Also the 3D effect is very well achieved by the relief effect and the shading ❤ very well done 👍
Congratulations 👏🏻
Thank you 😊
Nice!! :)
Thanks! 😄
To help with sealing around where you don't want the paint to leak through....you should do what Olga Soby does and use liquid latex...it will pull off cleanly and I think you might be able to work with it to get less thick edges around what you've painted on top of things. If that made sense...lol. 😊
Thanks for the idea x
I thought it was gorgeous even before the swipe! 😂
Thank you 😊
Incredibly gorgeous work! Thank you so much for your detailed explanation at every turn throughout the process. I love your easy-going manner as you explain the potential pitfalls, and how one can, and perhaps should, just go with the flow of the creation process. You are one of my inspirations, and I follow you faithfully. Thank you so much for being such a wonderful resource for us newbies!👍🏻😘✌🏻
Ah thanks so much, I literally just say what I’m thinking at the time, so glad it works 😘
Claire, I love this painting. Timmy looks 3D! I love turtles! I have a question about the hair serum. Can you varnish it easier than you can the other oils without an "oil slick" affect? I have had problems with that before.
Thank you so much , the serum is just the same as oil but I no longer have a problem varnishing, here’s the link to my varnishing video, try it, I think the secret is just very thin layers x

When you use the oil do you have to wash the painting before varnishing?
Really great! You’re so creative.
Yes, I use baby wipes x
Bellissimo ma cosa usa con il bastoncino? Olio di silicone poliuretano o qualcos'altro? 😊
It’s oil, I use coconut milk hair serum by Ogx
It would look better if you put resin on Timothy. It would makes him stand out more. 😊❤️🙏🇦🇺 #ABCreative
Thank you 😊
Fair Claire! I have to be honest….you can do better! It seems like everyone likes him but I feel you can do so much better! Not that you didn’t do a good job! You’re still wonderful! But I think Timmy needs a brother. More detail in the shell and different colors and lighter colors on the head and fins. The water was spot on!! You probably think I’m such a jerk :( I’m not trying to be mean I’m giving positive critique! You’re a fabulous artist and I know you have better in you! Gosh I sound like a mother!
Thank you 😊
