- It is the time of year when the crappie are heading to the shallow parts of the lake. Gorging themselves on small baitfish and lures that mimic them! Lake Logan has a pretty good crappie fishery and in this video, I demonstrate two techniques I use when going after these delicious fish! The Hocking Hills has some amazing scenery and if you take a fishing rod with you you will soon realize the fishing is pretty awesome too!
You're going to make Joel jealous..
He asked about crappie fishing so I went lol
Another great video crawler keep them coming beautiful day beautiful fish thanks again! Only 48° here in Trumbull today but you got me thinking about it !
Hey that's good enough to go out in lol

I have a few awesome videos on deck from the past couple days! Get ready it's gonna be EPIC!
Great video
thank you very much!!
Your using the diawa regal reel. Did the dude at Cabela's talk you into it? Awesome reel.
I retired the regal. A nice reel for the price though!
The biggest channel I ever caught was in 20ft through a tree while crappie fishing. Love the vids, Man.
NDYakAngler has some of the best all around fishing vids out there. The dude is a wizard
The dude makes great content! I wish we had the quality of smallmouth they have over there!
Come down to Tennessee dale hollow lake is world famous
@@Cakez0503 it's funny you say that because I will be coming down May 19-22! I am excited to fish there!

Thanks Tim! He definitely put my 6lb line to the test lol
Bro looking like me missing that crappie, thanks for the shout out brother had a hell of time on the river. You ever try Deer Creek for Crappie, white bass are starting to come up the creek too.
I have never fished deer creek. Hopefully, I can explore new waters this year. I have soo many places I want to try. I am glad you are getting the hang of catching fish at the river now!
@@thecreekcrawler Lemme know when you wanna hit deer creek, I got kayak or jon boat! May head out there today.
@@thesteadfastangler6724 I am at the mercy of my wives work schedule lol..unfortunately fishing will be a distant memory the next few days
Haven't been fishing in a while river an creek's are in bad shape to much rain good day of fishing on your end
Look at your lakes and reservoirs! My lakes get muddy the first day or so after a rain but quickly recover
That one was huge... Crappiezilla LOL
It sure was !!
13" is fish Ohio! I was close this year, got a 12" out of a neighborhood lake. Nice crappy day 🤪
Yea It was like 13' on the nose I disrespected the fish when I said 12 3/4"..lol
Whatna World ? SHAMU 🐳 lol, that was funny !
Crazy what eats a tiny minnow lol
I have a head strap for my go pro, and you miss a lot of fish! LOL. You wouldn't think so, but most of your strikes happen when you are looking somewhere else, thinking about you next cast! LOL
Yea I think I will stick to the chest unless I am topwater fishing. I really wanna get some good blow-ups on camera this year.
Just for the knowledge that was a mink lol
Yea I know did the word not come across on the video? I thought I put it in there when I first started the edit..anywho it was an awesome sighting I don't see too many running around during the day swimming in the lake!
@@thecreekcrawler ah i gotcha i just heard weasel lol but yeah mink are awesome critters i have one mounted on my wall
@@anthonybihary9498 Heck yea man that's sweet.
I've never fished Lake Logan, but when I hear the name, I automatically think of Saugeye.
This was the legendary fishing lake in the late 80s to early 90s..they caught the state record here a couple times. It's got saugeye still but they are hard to find!
Crappie is my wife's favorite fish to eat. I love catching them. First fish was quite a surprise. My biggest crappie came from Cuyahoga River @ 15 inches! Great to catch crappie on fly rod. "Let's Go!"
They are tasty critters for sure! Those catfish love those minnows just as much and put up a crazy fight when you are using crappie gear. My
PB is 19” from Georgia.. a long story
I would take that cat on that rod in that kayak on the first cast any day.
Yea it definitely surprised me I thought I hooked the record crappie for a second lol
Another slabtastic video🎣Great day on the water!
It was a fantastic day! Thanks for watching
a mink
Looked like it! I love seeing wildlife while I am out fishing.. This guy/gal just took a quick dip in the lake and ran off
