Loch Lomond & the Trossachs, Oban and Duone Castle | Scotland Road Trip | Scotland Travel Guide

- Continuing on our road trip of Scotland, we ventured to Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. First, Justin and I stopped at Duone Castle, intriguing late-medieval castle ruins and also a filming location for Outlander, Game of Throne, and more.

Next, we take you on a drive of the Trossachs, through the mountains and exploring Loch Lomond itself, one of the most famous lakes in Scotland.
After spending the night in Callander, we walked to Bracklinn Falls, a beautiful waterfall with an iconic wooden bridge. Before leaving the Trossachs, we visited one last waterfall, the Falls of Falloch. There's an interesting art installation here which offers another perspective of the falls.
As we drove further on this Scotland road trip, we spent the afternoon in Oban, a cute seaside resort town. You can't miss walking up to McCaig's Tower on Battery Hill. The tower is really amazing, plus the best views of the town are from McCaig's Tower.
Our road trip for the day ends in Glencoe, but first we had to make a stop at Castle Stalker. This castle sits on its own tiny island. You can see it from the shore, but also please enjoy the views of Castle Stalker from our drone! Aerial shots of Castle Stalker really show off how cool this castle truly is.

I love visiting movie and tv show filming sites and am a big fan of GoT and Outlander! watching Justin climb through the tiny doorways was so funny - people must have been shorter back in the 1300s. The lake was gorgeous, and I loved that beautiful waterfall as well. The resort town was so cute and great view from the ruins at the top. I would love to visit all of these castles - what a great day.
That castle really has been the star of many movies! I can see why - it is gorgeous. Some of those doorways are so tiny! Loch Lomand looks so beautiful. I especially love your drone footage of it - it really shows the size of the expanse of water. I've been to Scotland many times but haven't actually been here. I need to change that next time I visit! I so nearly visited castle Stalker when I went to Glencoe this summer for a day trip but unfortunately time ran out. It looks so pretty! Which was your favourite castle?

I loved the Games of Thrones series! I’ve been wanting to visit the filming locations from the show but there are so many! I didn’t even realize they had one in Scotland smh. And I loved the cute little town there!
We watched both of those shows, but recognized it from GOT. Lochs are so pretty! Cool art installation to walk through. We love abandoned castles! The castle on the island is awesome!
