- In todays video we discuss the ARG Valle Verde. This series immediately peaked my interest due to it's impressive quality and intriguing mysteries hidden within it. It's presented as a tape found within the woods containing an investigation report of an unreleased game.

How did you make that intro animation? It's so good!
@@WobblesandBeanFor Valle Verde or Tharsis? Tharsis is actually it's own project, I started it a while before the pandemic and took me two years to animate four minutes (Most of it is shown on EP02) I used very rough 3D models to help me as a movement reference, to keep them consistent, but every frame is drawn and painted by hand (Digitally, of course, with a Wacom tablet) so that it looks like Patlabor/GiTS, I did the same for the Valle Verde intro, but this time, imitating the Porco Rosso style, mainly. I love how 90s anime looks so having the opportunity to make animated intros in that style is great 😁

I am an autistic person who struggles with genre and catagorization, so while I can *recognize* similar styles I can never put it to words. The ability to not only tap into various styles but *within the same project???* truely amazing, something that makes me happy to be alive at the time that I am. ❤

"Pietro" is mostly a reference to Saint Peter, the first apostle and the "stone" in which the foundations of the chuch as an institution is built

GAAAASP I am a huge fan of Valle Verde and decided to search by upload date to see if anyone new had joined the conversation, and lucky lucky someone has! Yay!
Back again for a rewatch! The new episode of Valle Verde is still in the Processing phase for my brain, and reviewing analysis videos helps provoke new questions of the older information as well as serves my desire to decode the new piece of the puzzel we've been given.

‘Fille’ is actually pronounced with a silent L, more like the word “Feel” in English, and ‘Lumiere’ is pronounced like ‘Loo-Me-Air’. Otherwise your pronunciations were great! (:

@@nasxeen don’t worry, French is a stupid and confusing language that not even native speakers (me) can always understand! btw loved the video too, Valle Verde is one of my favourite ARG/Analog Horror series and seeing it get covered by you was really cool!
@@screenedat0m Tbh, French isn't *that* confusing, it has its own logic, if you know how to pronounce a specific cluster if letter in a word, you'll be able to pronounce that cluster in any other word. The reason it's so difficult for English speakers is because there is almost no overlap in the prononciation of words, as opposed to speakers of other Romance languages. Yes, , English has a lot of French loanwords, but they aren't *actually* pronounced like in French.
32:35 dont know how many people might already have said this, but Pietro seems to be the spanish version of Peter, which implies to me, along with Pietro being right behind the Pearly Gates, that he is in fact the Saint Peter who guards the gates of heaven and allows souls entry.
EDIT: Main comment unaltered for posterity, but it has been made clear to me Pietro is not Spanish for Peter, it is Italian for Peter. Spanish for Peter is Pedro. I don't think this significantly detracts from the larger point, which is that Pietro is probably a stand-in for Saint Peter.

Pietro is the Italian version of Peter. The spanish one is Pedro (source: I'm spanish)
@@DeadlyAntelope That is interesting. Doesn't Valley Verde have predominantly Spanish language used in it? But then, there might not be an overarching language being used here, and with a lot of traditional Christian traditions references it might make sense for the name of the guardian to be Italian, as Vatican City is the current heart of the oldest branch of the religion. So as far as I'm concerned the Father Pietro here is likely still Saint Peter.
@@Deathstorm501 Valle Verde means Green Valley in spanish, and the whole dialogue is in spanish except for the start of the conversation with Nottt and the THBrain menu.
And yeah, you're most likely right with Father Pietro being Saint Peter.
