I Am Native American (Navajo) & This Song Reminds Me Of The Wisdom Of The Elders Which I Have Lived My Life By,, The Earth Is My Mother & ALL Her Children My Brothers And Sisters ❤️🧒🌎👧❤️ Bil Hozhoni (The Happy One)
I love listening to Navajo radio station when driving through the rez. Y'all seem to love reggae as much as I do, and the fusion of reggae rhythms with Navajo vocal styles is sublime.
Bob Marley was a prophet..........1 day soon it will be seen that Marley's philosophy's are DIVINE> Love and ' partaking of the HERBS of the Earth' ( quote from the BIBLE), cannabis. The great Bob Marley--------The Love KING
Would have loved to see him live. He died a year before I was born.. I call him Uncle Bob as my parents are Jamaican and are around his age ( or what he would be if he was still here )
You definitely need to get more into Bob Marley. His music is amazing and his messages are timeless and still relevant to today. A truly incredible artist. One of the best of all time!
This man was beyond his years, the album bob Marley and the wailers was beautiful, watch this mans life story I think he has 40+ children but he was a prophet, the world should have one love, one heart let’s beat together, so beyond his years, dying of stomach cancer he still did concerts like it was the first
AS far as i can tell you are the first to do a Reggae reaction, I've never seen any other, so well done you deserve 111k subscribers for sure, I suggest A LIVE performance of The Heathen by Bob Marley, took place at the Rainbow Theater in London, 1977, I think you will be amazed at the performance and energy! Also check out, a song called, I Do Love You by Billy Stuart, if you remember when you played, Eddie Holman's Hey There Lonely Girl, it will be in the same vibes.... You are gonna love it!
I hear this song in the Montego Bay airport every time we land, Jamaica is the most wonderful place on earth, great food, great atmosphere and unbelievably great people. 58 days and counting until we land again. One Love
I was very lucky to meet him. He walked past Angela’s Cafe in coconut grove (Miami) on his way back from the travel agency. The waiters and waitresses all came out to tell him how much we loved his music. He signed autographs and was his quiet self. The lady he was with did all the talking but we only had eyes for him. Such a great artist. We had no clue he would be gone eight months later.😔🥺😔
Part of the lyrics in this song are from The Impressions - People Get Ready, and the mesaage behind is what Marcus Mosiah Garvey preached., Look to the east, because a King is cowned Kings of Kings, Lord of lords., Conquering lion of the tribe of Juda...JAH Rastafari - Haile Selassie the first
His Father Would Pass Away When He Was Only 2 Years Old..Damian Marley "Stand A Chance",, "All Night",, "Road To Zion" & "Pimpa's Paradise"..Bob Would Be So Proud 🙏 ❤
Love Bob Marley, and his message is what the Bible teaches, that this will be happening in the future, when God rids the world of all hatred(Rev 11:18)
I'm from Costa Rica and here is the bigest community of Jamaicans outside of Jamaica in a province called "Limón" which means "lemon" in Spanish and the essence of the BoB is all over the town it's incredible
At this time the need is greater than at at any other time to learn to forgive one another. Love + Unforgiveness = Grief for all. May I suggest Forgive by Lionel Peterson off the Rejoice Africa Album, as well as Jabulani Africa
You have to play one of his live videos. He was a master showman and musician, and the Wailers were as tight as a steel drum. One of the greatest singers, musicians and songwriters of any time or any genre. He left too soon at 35, he was still in his prime. Too many songs to recommend, but anything from the album "Catch a Fire" is a good start... Ofc, if you just want hits, Legend is one of the bestselling greatest hits albums of all time..
The great thing about this song is that Bob was a huge Curtis Mayfield fan. So he mixed all the verses in this song with the words of Curtis Mayfield's song People Get Ready. Bob wrote the chorus One Love.
I know you guys have done some Bob Marley but I’d love it if you check out two of my favourite Bob Marley songs ‘Three Little Birds’ and ‘Redemption Song’. There’s a football team in Holland called Ajax and Bob Marley’s son has performed Three Little Birds in front of the crowd too.
This is my favorite Marley - I have several versions It’s beautiful “Let's get together to fight this Holy Armageddon (one love) So when the Man comes there will be no, no doom (one song) Have pity on those whose chances grow thinner There ain't no hiding place from the Father of Creation” B🇯🇲M❤
Peace guys about time people got his their ideology amazing thank you & bless you some were just Rebel songs but they all matter & some are just timeless
Bob was and is a legend! He has many more excellent songs.. Do more Bob Marley such as Three Little Birds, War, Redemption Song, Could You Be Loved, Natural Mystic..etc.. Great critique.
Even though he was never particularly subtle about it, way too many people (and Caribbean cruise ads) just kinda skim over the religious foundations of Marley's music. Reggae and its predecessors are sort of a Jamaican parallel to the black spiritual music that emerged in the United States. These are two separate - if not entirely unrelated - peoples that largely had Christianity imposed on them both managed to find strength in the depictions of God as a liberator of the oppressed. An interesting difference between them, though, is that a lot of the music that came out of America often compared the United States to Egypt enslaving the Israelites, while in Jamaica it became more common to compare it - and the broader "Eurosphere" more generally - to Babylon breaking up the Israelites and separating them from both their homeland and each other.

This is that sacred chord that David played, and it pleased the lord.
Love this song 🎧
I'm not a religious person by any means, but if I were, Marley would be one of the main prophets in my bible.
