Like, Melina is begging the tarnished not to seek the frenzied flame and the tarnished, having no idea what she’s talking about is like “yeah yeah yeah. Listen. There’s a secret down here. It looks like this is a dead end, but actually, one of these walls… is secretly a door!” Melina looks absolutely terrified right up until the tarnished hits the illusory wall and opens the way to the deep root depths. Then he chides her being like “see? Look at this beautiful view! And you were so worried about absolutely nothing. Let’s continue.” And then Melina sighs a heavy sigh of relief, wipes the sweat off her brow and follows after him. If I had any artistic skill I’d do it myself, but, you know.

She almost guilt tripped me into it the first time but I like the cosmetic too much with white mask and I found a way to get it the first try every time. Essential for the most important quality in Elden that is appearance lol

the best ending are always those where you go against the established order like why should I care about a woman purpose in life that I just met in a world where death is at every corner nah man look out for yourself cuz no one will and I think Melina is just being used without her knowledge or she is I dunno
Frenzied Flame is ultimately a very misanthropic ending, where you become fed up and seek to burn out all traces of the Golden Order which ended up bringing an unbelievable amount of despair and suffering unto the world. You bring back what was before, flame unending, and permanently remove the option to ever corrupt the Elden Ring through some corrupted mending runes. But it then becomes a big moral dilemma, is ending literally everything and everyone, along with the Golden Order, really the best way to stop all suffering? All the small joys people experience, the friends and relationships they make, beauty they find in the world, the world may be broken but it's not fully hopeless. You are preventing things from ever getting better, any joy from ever being experienced. Most people see this as an objectively bad ending, but I'd say it's neither. It's a different third option outside the good and bad endings. Most people just don't understand such deep misanthropy.
