I do not have that opportunity allowing that I live in the Arizona desert at 1000m elevation. 40C nearly every day. Where you are seems ever so much nicer environs. I completely get your point about water - the times in my life I have lived away from the shore have made me realize that I need that in my life. Also the winter sounds of the wind are completely different - a different kind of solitude. We didn't have a cabin growing up, but as I got older I have managed to spend more time with nature.

What a lovely little vlog! I can see why you love your Aunt's cabin so much. And the lake... my late wife always said she had "hydro-mania". She loved water. She spent time near a lake in Maine (USA) which, not unlike Finland, had snow late in the spring and early in fall. But she loved the lake and she loved the ocean front around Cape Cod, Massachusetts. I think she would have loved your lake! If you ever get a chance to visit the US, I think you'd appreciate the mountains in West Virginia. Covered in thick, green forests that stretch on farther than the eye can see, with about 3 dozen lakes, it's a wonderland for folks who love nature. Of course, it's tricky to travel there as there is no "destination" per se; even the largest cities in WV can be mistaken as rather sleepy towns in much of the rest of the country. But if you have a guide or knowledgeable travel companion, it could be a wonderful place to spend some time. I hope your lake-side cabin time brings you peace and inspiration for your composing!
Hello Heline! So good to see you, and to join you on your outing. Lovely country. The transition of one season into another is always an interesting, and sometimes an almost magical, time. It is already very hot here in northeastern Texas. It was over 100°F the last few days which IS NOT my favorite weather. I'd rather be in Finland. Looks nice.
