I love this. I sent a message on my grad school’s Groupme chat mentioning the cleanup for Hurricane Helene and asking if anyone could come help us out over the weekend. One girl I had never met messaged me and she ended up coming. She had worked for a couple of years before school in the tree business, and her experience ended up actually making a huge difference in the situation we found ourselves in. We wouldn’t have been able to have done what we did without her!
You will never truly know if a person is willing and ready to help unless you ask. Even if you feel like the answer is most likely "no," just remember that it both never hurts to just ask and that sometimes even the seemingly most stubborn/self-centered of people can surprise you. People won't have a chance to change unless we give them to opportunity to do so

It's fine if you choose to believe that this isn't Gods church, God gave us all the right to make that choice for ourselves, but surely you can agree that serving others is a worthwhile endeavor in the sight of the Lord, no?

I have tryed to ask for help with an elderly gentlemen in a wheelchair but could never get anyone to help any of the times i asked
