Man I remember when this first set came out...I had just built my first Commander deck, Horde of Notions, and bought a box for some fetchlands...sat down at the shop and started cracking packs...get about half way through and no fetches...Ok, I think, they must all be in the 2nd half the box...get to a few packs left and still no fetches...now I'm getting mad...crack my final pack and sure enough I don't open a SINGLE fetch in the entire box...the rares and mythics were SO bad, and worth SO little, that I left the entire box sitting on the table...the mythics were Lorthos, Eternity Vessel, Felidar Sovereign and Obsidian Fireheart, which are all STILL under a buck or two ...the rares I'm hazy on but I know there was nothing great... I was so mad the only thing I took were the basics...still to this day the worst box I have ever opened...
Dear Rudy thank you for taking me back to when I first started playing Magic. It's nice to remember a simpler time and why I fell in love with the game

Rudy has the right way to go about it. buy lots of boxes and sit sit sit on them until the price goes sky high. when your buying at 100 bucks a box and then they are worth 400 to 500 in the future you can't lose. it's all about patience.
even if you are in a bind you can crack the box and sell for singles and still hit a 20 to 30% return
It's always funny to watch Rudy Throw boxes around like its a female wrestling match and be genuinely surprised when some cards are damaged xD

Even Battle for Zendikar is getting up to $175...I was picking them up for $82...wish I still had them.

Hmm, now that we can all see it and think about it, I really see that Zendikar wasn't really that good of a set after all.
Fetches and that's pretty much it.
The eldrazi in the set hold some value toghter with valakut, bloodghast and the fetches. It's a very good set but not worth the 400-500 price tag

If you don't have cash to burn, don't open anything prior to Kaladesh anymore. The sealed prices are ridiculous and you have to get a 1 in 100 box to get your +EV

On one video we saw he has a 10min timer on the screen, maybe he checks that to go slower or faster depending on the time left, and he takes more time to appreciate the amazing art of some cards.

If you include unstable and the new full art snow lands, the duplicate arts from different sets, there are 17 of each basic land.
@@stigmaoftherose so i was pretty close for a guess ;) i was just going off of what is available in mtgo for fullart lands and then unseries.. but either way theres not as many fullart lands as rudy makes it sounds lol not even enough to make a full mono deck with one of each haha even a red burn deck ;)
